Some New Cards

Things at the office are crazy these days.  One of our gals is in the hospital and hoping to be out soon, but then is supposed to REST, but of course the cardmakers in the office are happy to make some Get Well Cards for her.  She likes textures, the first thing she does when we show off our cards is to touch them, so I added textures to these for her.  I know the "bug" isn't SU! but all the papers and ink is.  Colored with SU! pens on watercolor paper.  I just couldn't resist the bug from my collection of stamps for her infection.

Another co-worker's Mother passed away this evening after being placed in Hospice Care just this weekend.  Thankfully he went home this afternoon to spend some time with her.  I'm glad he was able to be with her when she passed.

On a lighter note, my two son's birthdays are in February.  The oldest and 1st born, on the 17th and the youngest and 2nd born this Friday on the 25th.   These are the cards I made for them.  Making sure they understood MOM made them and they are to be cherished!!  They are 29 and 25 years old, but being boys, they don't appreciate our hard card making skills unless they are reminded... right?

Thanks for looking in... have a great (short) week!

St. Patrick's Day - Just around the corner

At our team meeting Sunday, the swap theme was Easter and St. Patrick's Day.  Since Easter isn't until the end of April, I figured I'd do St. Patrick's Day.  I think these came out really cute and they were super fast and simple!

I used the Embosslits Scalloped Heart of Hearts die (117332) and my Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (119275).  The stamp is from Afterthoughts which is a Hostess Set.

The envelope with the mints is the Bigz Scallop Envelope Die (113462) and the stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370).

Then, our Make and Take from Rebecca was this adorable basket filled with chocolate carrots!  The instructions for the basket are available at Splitcoast Stampers.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful and safe day!  Create Away!!

Some Cards for a Friend

We all know how difficult it is to come up with those masculine cards.  Well, here are three that Linda and I made this weekend that should suit their recipient quite well.  This is for an older gentleman and I think he'll really enjoy them.

Linda tried her hand at watercoloring and I think she did a fantastic job, don't you?!

Stamp used:  Countryside.  Paper: Very Vanilla, Watercolor Paper, Newsprint DSP and Old Olive.

I made two cards.  One to come from me and one from Karen.  She chose the 2nd one with the airplane so I'm sending him the one with the water pump.

Stamps used:  Countryside, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Linen (retired background stamp).  Paper:  Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip.  Ink:  Chocolate Chip.  Accessories:  Modern Label Punch.

Stamps Used:  Plane and Simple.  Paper:  Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, Pacific Point.  Ink: Pacific Point.

Let's see your masculine cards - post them here if you like and show them off!

Thanks for looking and have a Crafty Day!

A few cards from our workshop

Yesterday's workshop was a lot of fun.  It's always a great day when we can gather together with friends with good fun, stamps, inks and papers and of course great food!

Here are the projects we made from yesterday.  I just love using the Square Lattice embossing folder for so many things.  The texture is just awesome!

And who doesn't love ice cream!!!   Chocolate, Strawberry and Mint Chip!  Yum!!

Then, since we always have a wish list going - we made a great little wish list book.  Inside is a note pad from Staples that was cut in half to be 8" x 2.5" and put in place with heavy double stick tape.

Our next workshop is March 12th at my house - we'd love it if you could come and join us.

Next Friday, February 18th is our very first Stamp-a-Stack where you can come and make 5 cards for $5.00.  Just let me know by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16th so I know how many kits to have cut and ready to go!

Thanks for looking in.

Happy Stampin'!

My Digital Studio PDF Catalog Now Available!!!

I'm excited to announce that Stampin' Up! has released a My Digital Studio PDF Catalog.  It not only contains the artwork that comes with your My Digital Studio Software (#118108) $79.95, but the artwork of the new downloads thru January 2011.  I know most people push this idea aside because they really don't know what's inside and now, with the link to the online PDF Catalog, you'll be able to see what it's more about.

Personally, I love the ink on my fingers and the personal touch of working with paper, scissors and ink, but for those of you who are more in the digital age, then this is just for you!

Creativity goes digital with My Digital Studio! Use the same great artwork, colors, and accessory images found in our current product lines to create personalized cards, photo albums, scrapbooks, and other projects. Once you've created your personalized gift or heirloom, have it printed in our high-quality print facility and delivered to your door; or you can print your creation at home.
