Pop-Up Posies

Last weekend, I attended Spring Fling 2013 presented by Diana Gibbs and Rhonda Morgan.  Those girls are amazing and they put on the most wonderful event!  We were there from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and crafted 14 items (13 cards and 1 bag).  I'm going to post some of them over the next few days because they are just too pretty not to share!

These three all use elements from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit (131395) from the Spring Mini Catalog.

This top card uses all three sizes from the little cups that look like "cupcake" holders.  They are so stinkin' cute!  Just cut in every couple of folds so the flowers lay a little flatter and they almost feel real!  The DSP is Tea for Two (129311).  The great yellow brad in the middle is also part of the kit.

The DSP on the next two cards is a freebie from Sale-a-Bration called Sycamore Street (127540)

I really love the colors on this one - again DSP from Sale-a-Bration.  The colors are so bright and beautiful!

I'd love to be your Stampin' Up! Consultant if you don't already have one.  You can order any of the listed items above on my website, or by emailing me (stampswellwithothers@gmail.com) directly for more information or help with ordering.

Don't forget about checking out Paper Pumpkin - the first shipment will be out very soon and you won't want to miss it!  Be sure to pick me as your Stampin' Up Demonstrator and let me know when you do so I can sent you a big thank you!

Choose the location where you would like to save the files (be sure to note where you save them). Follow the prompts on the extraction program, then navigate to the location where you saved the files. Click on the file and open.

Silicone Craft Sheet Loves Lint (aka Cat Hair) Rollers

If you have a house anything like mine, you have cats (or dogs) that love to be part of your crafting projects and love to leave their mark of hair around everywhere.  The Silcone Craft Sheet LOVES to attract this hair:

Here you can see, the roller removes hair, dust, glitter, anything you don't want on your craft sheet.

And here it is... nice and clean and ready to use.   I really LOVE my Silicone Craft Sheet and use it anytime I'm using adhesive, particularly the snail, it makes everything so much easier!

Thanks for looking in today.  To order your Silicone Craft Sheet go to My Website and order (127853).

I'll be at Diana and Rhonda's Spring Fling in Gilbert, Arizona today with 4 others from our stamping group.  I'm so excited for a day full of crafting with the girls that I can hardly stand it!  Pictures to follow this week.

Happy Sunday!

Blooper Time

Everyone loves bloopers and Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Training has released some of theirs.

Take a couple of minutes and enjoy! (If you're receiving this via email, you'll need to click on the title and go to the blog to see the video.)

That's all I have for today.  The weekend is almost here and I've been working on finalizing my swaps for Diana and Rhonda's Spring Fling on Sunday, so nothing new to post just yet.

Happy Friday!

Stampin' Emboss the Keurig Way

How do you store your Stampin' Emboss Powders and Glitter?  Well this is how I'm storing mine and I am thrilled with it!  We actually spotted this on Mary Fish' website when a friend suggested it to her.  The jars fit perfectly and it will hold up to 27 of them.  I even have room for my retired ones (notice the bright green sticker?) and there's room for more.

I don't know about the rest of you, but my eyes have a terrible time finding the name on each of those little lids without searching.  I can read them fine, but why search when you can use a label maker and make them bigger, right?  You can see I wrote it on with a black Sharpie, but it looked horrible, so I labeled instead, so much nicer.

Now... for something really different!

Phoenix Arizona had SNOW - okay, some people are calling it Graupel also known as "soft hail" - but it looks enough like snow to us.

This first picture is from 3rd Street and Osborn which is just down the road from us (I'm at 32nd Street).

I'm not sure where this is in the Phoenix area, but isn't it beautiful?

This snowman is even closer to my house than the one on 3rd and Osborn.  It's at 44th and Thomas!  Hubby said we didn't have any, but I think he just didn't look outside when it was happening.  LOL

This is Camelback Mountain.  If you could see the whole mountain, you'd see that it does look like a camel sitting low on the ground, but from this side you can see the Praying Monk, the bump on the far left as you look at the picture.  I can see this mountain from my house, so once again, snow near us, but no one at home saw it.  *sigh*.

Well, that's the excitement around here for Wednesday.  Beautiful pictures you can see on several websites, but you can see some great ones on ABC15 if you want to look at more.  I know the snowbirds looking in won't want to see them, but it is fun to see snow on a saguaro cactus!

Happy Thursday!

Swaps Ready for Spring Fling

This coming Sunday a group of my "girls" and I are going to attend Diana and Rhonda's Spring Fling.  I'm so excited to spend an entire day crafting and creating with others that I can hardly stand it!  Thank goodness this is short week and Sunday will be here soon!

So, today's post is a quick look at the swaps I've got ready for Sunday.  I'm thrilled to have them all ready to go.  I've got 40 swaps made and am looking forward to receiving 40 in return.  The swap is just card fronts, so that's kind of nice for making large quantities.

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Stamps:  Field Flowers (w-122760 / c-122762), Delightful Dozen (w-122650 / c-122652)
Card Stock:  Whisper White
Ink:  Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Pink Pirouette and Rose Red.
Punch: Decorative Label (120907)
Ribbon:  5/8" Organza Ribbon (114319)

Then, from Monday's lunch with my boys, here we are outside the restaurant.  I'm not sure what was up with the cross-armed stance, they usually have their arms around me!  LOL  The one on my right (your left) is my "baby", Robert.  He will be 27 on the 25th and the fully bearded one is my eldest, Billy who just turned 31 on the 17th.  My how the time flies!  Aren't they handsome??  Mom sure thinks so!

Thanks for looking in!  Happy Wednesday!

My Birthday Boys!

Well, 31 years ago, I was in the hospital, but for a good thing!  The birth of my first baby boy, who grew up way too fast and is now 31 years old (omg, where does the time go?).  His birthday was actually yesterday, the 17th and my baby, will be 27 on the 25th.  It's nice having their birthdays close together because it gives us a good reason to make time to all go out for lunch or dinner.  It's so difficult to plan time with them since they work nights and sleep days.  So any time we have together is so special.

My oldest is Billy and my youngest is Robert.  So growing up, when we bought toys, a lot of times we would pick out Blue things for Billy and Red things for Robert.  Just a way for them to remember their toys, I know, it's silly.  LOL... B for Billy and Blue and R for Robert and Red.  Of course, I keep that tradition up when I can, like in cardmaking.

This card is CASED from Nancy Riley and her great masculine card.  Thanks Nancy!!  I changed up the colors, the DSP and the Stamps, but the sketch part is pretty much the same.  Not to mention fast and simple, my favorite kind of card!  (especially for my boys who just don't appreciate that MOM made it... lol)

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Stamp Set:  Bring On the Cake (w-121899 / c-121958)
Card Stock:  Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake
DSP:  Parker's Patterns (131021)
Ink:  Early Espresso
Extra's:  Natural's Designer Buttons (127554), Early Espresso Baker's Twine (123124), Glue Dots (103683), 1 3/8" Square Punch (119877)

Thanks for looking in today.  I hope you had a great 3-day weekend.  I sure enjoyed mine!

I'd love to be your Stampin' Up! Consultant if you don't already have one.  You can order any of the listed items above on my website, or by emailing me (stampswellwithothers@gmail.com) directly for more information or help with ordering.

Honey Bee Workshop

We had a great workshop at Mary's on Saturday.  One of the cards we made you've seen earlier but I made a bit of a change to it for the workshop.  Originally it had the Honeycomb embossed background, but then when I decided on the cute Bee card, I didn't want to duplicate the backgrounds, so here's the updated version using the Chevron background.  This little bunny is so cute, it could go with ANY background and still be just as adorable!

Here's our 2nd card.  Isn't it just adorable??  I spotted it somewhere and for the life of me I can't find the copy I printed out with her name.  I think there is a hole somewhere in my craft table where everything is disappearing today!

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Stamp Set:  Spring Sampler (w- 125510 / c-125512)
Card Stock: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White
DSP:  Polka Dot Parade (126902)
Ink:  StazOn Black (101406)
Embossing Folder:  (129378)
Ribbon: Basic Black 1/2" Scallop Dots

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Sunday!

Happy Birthday Brittney!

Happy Birthday to Brittney!  I actually wanted to post this on her birthday (Friday, Feb. 15th) but we couldn't have her seeing her birthday card online before she opened it now could we?

This was a quick and easy card and I really like the results.

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Stamp Set:  Cross My Heart (w-126580 / c-126582) from the Spring Mini
Card Stock:  Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals
Ink:  Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Pacific Point
DSP:  Sycamore Street (127540)
Ribbon:  Primrose Petals 3/8" Stitched Satin (126844)

This one was made by Kristi - one our Guest Stampers from Stamps Well With Others.  Hoping to see more creations from the others to add to our gallery!

Thanks for looking in today. Have a wonderful 3-day weekend, if you are lucky enough to have one.  Hopefully you'll have a lot of stamping time!  I'm sure planning to!

Hostess Codes!

Did you hear the awesome announcement from Stampin' Up!?  You can now get a "Hostess Code" each time you have a workshop and you can send it to your friends and family that might not be able to come to your workshop, even those out of state or in another city.  Your friends and family can then purchase Stampin' Up! products through the my website and you can get the credit added to your party!

Isn't that wonderful??  My first workshop where  we can use this is this weekend and we've already received an online order for Mary Pack's Workshop.  The online customer will receive their order directly to their house just like any online order, except now, the hostess receives credit towards her party.  Even better, your online guests have their orders shipped to them and depending on when they order, could end up having their items shipped before you even hold your workshop.  Today's online customer will probably receive shipment notice tomorrow.

I've attached a sample order page indicating where the "Hostess Code" goes.  Then be sure your guests click "apply" before checking out.

I'm really looking forward to each of my future hostesses being able to have friends and family order from their party online to add to their hostess benefits!

If you're interested in booking a workshop, it could even be an almost completely online workshop, please let me know and I'd love to work out the details with you.

Happy Friday!

Happy Valentine's Day - Guest Stamper - Linda

This will be a quick post, but I didn't want to miss Valentine's Day!

Our Guest Stamper today, Linda, has several Nieces and Nephews she makes holiday cards for and Valentine's Day is no exception.  Here is a quick look at the cards she made this year.  I think they are all just adorable!  The Penguin has to be my favorite though!

See what you think...

This idea came from Lorri (my sweet upline!) as a swap she received at Leadership.  Linda changed it up a bit, but this is the basic idea.

Thanks for looking in.  I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your someone special.

Peekaboo Frames Birthday

I've been wanting to use the Peekaboo Frames Bigz L for a card for ages and just kept forgetting.  Finally, apparently, my brain remembered and I made one for my Sis-in-law's birthday this week.  I really like how it came out, if I do say so myself. I will admit it took a little practice to get the right size to go in the window and to get the stamp to be in the center where I wanted it, but practice makes perfect!

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Stamps:  Patterned Occasions from Sale-a-Bration (w-129621 / c-129624)
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
DSP:  Tea for Two (129311)
Ink:  Calypso Coral
Tools:  Big Shot (113439), Peekaboo Frames Bigz L (124587)
Ribbon:  3/8" Taffeta So Saffron Ribbon (122982)

Thanks for looking in today. Have a great week!  Happy Monday!

Stampin' Up! Heat Tool

How many of you have found creative ways to use our Stampin' Up! tools for something not related to paper crafts?  Have you ever used the heat tool to remove window glazing?  Well, we did!

This would be why there are no cards to post on Saturday. We've had a window that's been needing replacement, for longer than I want to admit to, and after calling for estimates to have it replaced, we decided that was ridiculous and we would do it ourselves.  After all, I've helped my Dad do it numerous times, granted, it was over 30 years ago, but I knew I could manage it.

Who knew window glazing could bake into a window frame and refuse to come out?  One of the suggestions was to use a heat gun or blow dryer to make it easier, so of course we grabbed my SU Heat Tool and you know what?  It did help!  Here's hubby heating it up while I gave my hands a rest from hammering at the chisel.

Here it is mostly chiseled completely out.  We had a bit more scraping to do and had to take the glass back to ACE Hardware to make it a tad smaller.  The window frame wasn't exactly true.  Yikes!

And here's the finished product.  Not perfect by any means, but I feel so satisfied knowing I actually DID IT!  Any other windows that need replacing, I think I'll call for a professional.  LOL  Or at least get more professional tools.  Surely they don't use a hammer and chisel to scrap out all the old glazing!

Thankfully we had some great clouds today.  Every time the sun peeked out it was blinding especially since it was behind me and shining onto the window.  Could have probably used more sun putting the glazing in though.  I think it was bordering on being too cold for the stiff putty.

See the pretty sunset in the window, the NEW window?  :)

So, now you can share, how have you used your Stampin' Up! tools in unusual ways?

Happy Sunday!

Dude, You're Welcome!

How many of you would love to see your favorite guy stamping a card for you, or just stamping strictly for the entertainment value?  Well, with this great little kit, you can (possibly) have that chance!  With Valentine's Day coming, or with an Anniversary or Date Night in the future, what better time than now to sneak this little gem into your guy's hands.  Remind him that nothing is sweeter than something made by hand.  Since they don't take hints very well, you may have to remind them of that a few times, but eventually, some of them get it!

Watch this quick little cute video.  Notice the instructions get folded back up and put aside just as quickly as they are opened!

Check out what's included in the Dude, You're Welcome Card Kit:

  • Twelve 4" x 6" postcards in four different (manly) colors
  • Twelve gray envelopes
  • A Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
  • An instructional guide (for the most novice stamper!)

Birthday Balloons with Owl Feet

I've been thinking about balloons lately and how to make them without hand cutting.  So I looked through the punches we have and hit upon two that worked PERFECTLY together to make a balloon.  The Small Oval (120908) and the Owl Builder (118074).  Okay, I see you thinking... think about this.  The bottom, or gathered part of a balloon where the knot is tied, has a rippled edge to it.  Take a look at the "feet" on the owl and you have the gathered part of a balloon.

Punch out the Small Oval out of any DSP or card stock you like and then punch enough "feet" to go with your ovals.  Trim the feet up so you have plenty of  pieces to go with your balloons.  See samples below:

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Card Stock:  Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
DSP:  Sycamore Street (from Sale-a-Bration)
Stamp Set:  Perfectly Penned (w-122890 / c-122892)
Extras:  Cloudy Day Embossing Folder (127022), Small Oval Punch (120908), Owl Builder Punch (118074), Pool Party Bakers Twine (125574), Labels Collection Framelits (125598).

Thank you for looking in today.  I love to hear from you so if you stop by, please say hello!

If you don't already have a Demonstrator, I'd love it if you would place your order by going to MY WEBSITE or by emailing me directly for more information at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com.

Have a great day!
