With the New Year just hours away, I thought it would be nice to give thanks one more time for all our blessings and yes, even our trials, from the past year.  What better way than with this great stamp set - Banner Blessings - one of our awesome Photopolymer sets (136720)

Storing My Paper Pumpkin Stamps

I promised yesterday that I would share how I'm storing my stamps from all the My Paper Pumpkin kits.

Project Life Variety Pack Photo Pocket Pages (135297)

Espresso 6" x 8" Project Life Album (135293)

The original MPP's came with the Clear Mount stamps - now they are Photopolymer (YAYYY!) and I'm so much happier with them.

This way I can use my stamps for other projects and keep them all in one place so I know that they aren't necessarily current product, but that they can be used for whatever we need.

Thank you for looking in today.  Tomorrow will be New Year's Eve!  Amazing!

December 2014 - My Paper Pumpkin

Now that the Christmas rush is over, it's time to share the December My Paper Pumpkin.  This was such a fun kit and I'm really happy with the results.  Linda also received this one and we had fun putting them together last week.  I finished mine Sunday.  I got distracted... as usual.  ha!

If you haven't tried the My Paper Pumpkin kits yet, you should really give them a try.  They are great little kits filled with fun projects.  Just go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com and sign up.  Please be sure to choose me as your Demonstrator - Donna Kish - Phoenix, AZ.  If you are local in the Phoenix area, we can even find a time to craft our kits together, if you like.

I just love the shiny and fun confetti that goes inside.  It really gives the card a great twist.

The kit came with Smoky Slate ink, but I chose to use Memento Black ink on the front and inside I matched the color of the outside die cut sentiment to my ink pads for stamping the inside sentiment.

Love the bling!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a happy Monday!

Come back tomorrow to see how I store my stamps after they've been used in my kits!

Love is Kindness

It may still be winter and we just had our first freeze warnings here in Phoenix, AZ, but it's never too soon to start thinking about springtime flowers and the essence of love.  Especially with this great little single stamp "Love is Kindness" available in just a couple more weeks (January 6th).  This stamp is in the 2015 Occasions Mini and since I love tulips, I just knew I had to have it.

Colors used are Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette and Wisteria Wonder.  Each of these colors also come in Blendabilities (Pink Pirouette - available in January).

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a blessed Sunday.

Sneak Peek at Painted Petals

Christmas stamps are tucked away and we're moving on to the next round of new stamps from the Occasions Mini.  There are so many beautiful and fun sets in the 2015 Occasions.  You're going to LOVE it, I'm sure!

If you are one of my regular customers and haven't received your copy of your Occasions Catalog yet, please let me know.  If you would like a copy and you don't have a regular Demonstrator, email me and I'll be happy to send one to you.  In the meantime, you can see it on my blog over there >> in the right hand column.  You can also see the Sale-a-bration brochure over there as well.  I also mailed out copies to my regular customers on Wednesday, so watch your mailbox!

On to the card...

This stamp set is called Painted Petals and I just love all of the possibilities that come with this set, plus the flowers are beautiful and can be used with all of our great colors!  Here I used Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush and Calypso Coral.  The stems are stamped with Mossy Meadow.

The flowers in this one above are on one stamp and the stems are on another stamp.  At first you may wonder how to line them up, but being the clear Photopolymer, they are easy to line up and make a perfect image!  The DSP behind the "amazing" card is from the Holiday Mini (135820) and is still available until January 5th.  Don't miss out.  Just because a paper pack is designed for a certain season, there are two sides to each side and many can be used year round!

Thank you for looking in today.  Before I go, let me share a picture or two from Christmas Morning.

These are my boys, Robert and Billy and of course, me just before they headed out to their next Christmas stop.  They are the joys of my life and I'm so lucky to have them with me for Christmas Morning.

When I was going through the pictures, I had to laugh when I saw this one.  Since my hubby was sick on Christmas (and I kept him tucked away so he didn't share his germs) we didn't have a photographer.  Thankfully the camera I have has a timer.  This is how the boys looked waiting for me to set the timer and join them for the picture!

Too funny!  Look how their arms are crossed, opposite of each other.

Notice the empty tree?  It only has lights and an angel bear on it.  With five cats in the house, ornaments don't have a chance!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Danita

So, besides being Christmas Eve today, it is also my very dear friend's birthday . . .  Poor kid, always having her birthday missed with all the Christmas celebrations.  Hopefully she's received this already and is not looking in here to spoil the surprise!  LOL

This is the greatest new stamp set from the 2015 Occasions Catalog (premiering January 6th).  I had so much fun playing with this set and making this card.

Inside there is another small "card" which is actually one of our envelopes folded, decorated and turned into a gift card holder.  I added the big Crushed Curry arrow from our new What's Up punch (133781).

Inside the enclosure, more stamps from the set and more of the beautiful paper from the Occasions Catalog - Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper (137783).

Always add some extra color to the envelope flap.  That way even the mailman has a little bit of color in his / her day!

Here's the GREAT part of this DSP, see the shiny gold balloons?  Aren't they just awesome!  I love it!

Thank you for looking in today.

May you have a blessed evening with your family and friends as you celebrate Christmas.  Remember to celebrate the Reason for the Season!  God Bless!

Merry Christmas!

All Shook Up - My Paper Pumpkin

Christmas is almost here, do you have all your shopping done?  Do you know a crafter that would love to have a monthly craft escape?  Think about signing them up for a pre-paid subscription to My Paper Pumpkin!  Go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com to sign up.  Be sure to list me - DONNA KISH, Phoenix, Arizona as your Demonstrator and I'll send you an extra gift you can use with all your kits.

Now on to this month's kit.  This could be my favorite My Paper Pumpkin!  Although, I think another one will surely come along that I'll like better.  That seems to happen every couple of months!

Sadly, I only have one of them to show you as I left the rest of them at the office!  I'll bring them home and show them off tomorrow!

Each kit comes with everything you need except a clear block and adhesive (sometimes).  This particular kit had everything I needed.  Your first kit will come with a clear block to use in all subsequent kits.

Here's what they all look like when finished.  There's Happy Birthday - Hello - and Thank You.  Great multipurpose cards to have around at all times.  You just never know when you will need them!

If you haven't tried My Paper Pumpkin yet, you should definitely give it a try.

Thank you for looking in today.

Confetti Stars Ornament

The idea for this come from Pinterest, but with color and paper changes to make it sparkly and bright.

The base and ornaments are Cherry Cobbler.  The ornaments are 1 3/4" circles using the circle punch (119850) punched in Cherry Cobbler (119685) and Gold Glimmer Paper (133719).

Then holding the Cherry Cobbler circle with a post it note on the corner, punch stars from the Confetti Stars Punch (135861) from the Holiday Catalog.  Adhere the Cherry Cobbler circles to the Gold Glimmer circles with liquid Tombo (110755) or Sticky Strip (104294).  Keep in mind, the glimmer paper needs a strong adhesive to keep it attached.

Paper Saving Tip!  Punch the circles from the Glimmer paper you use as a mat.  I forgot to take a picture before I attached the Whisper White, but here is the back side of it.  Be sure to not punch too close to the edge so you don't have it showing on your mat!

Here you can see through with the light behind.

Measurements:  Gold Glimmer 5" x 3 3/4"; Whisper White 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Inside Whisper White:  5 1/4" x 4"
Inside Sentiment:  Endless Wishes (136829) in Photopolymer

Add some 1/8" Gold Ribbon (134583) by attaching over the back of the Glimmer paper and behind the ornament - you could also attach it behind the Whisper White card stock if you choose.  Add a pretty little bow and attach with a Glue Dot (103683)

Sentiment also from Endless Wishes (136892)

Isn't this just beautiful?  I think it would also look pretty with Night of Navy and Silver Glimmer, don't you?

Thank you for looking in today.  The countdown to Christmas is on!  I can hardly wait for Christmas Morning.  My boys (ages 32 and 28) will be joining us for breakfast and my stepdaughter (27) and her husband will be joining us for lunch.  It should be a great day!

Remember the real meaning of Christmas in all the hoopla!

Happy Monday!

B.Y.O.P.

You read that right... B.Y.O.P... Buy Your Own Present!  How many times have you given a gift card as a gift and wished you had a perfect card to go with it?  Well now you can make the perfect card for every occasion!

Beginning January 6th you can purchase the set B.Y.O.P. and begin making fun gift card cards!

Here is one of the pairs of sentiments from this set:

Inside:  SPENDING!  I also added the HAPPY BIRTHDAY also from the same set.  So many ways to use this great set.  You're going to love it!

Inside the set is Birthday, Graduation, New Baby, Thanks, Wedding and for no reason at all (or any reason not listed).

Don't forget the envelope, add some DSP to the outside flap.  It makes it so much prettier than a plain envelope, don't you agree?  This DSP is Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Just wait until you see another card I made with it - I'm holding it back until the recipient receives it, so I don't ruin the surprise - but there are two pieces of paper in the stack that has shimmer gold elements!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a blessed Sunday!
