Cardmaking and Project Life

Who said you have to put a lot of time into making a card?  I put this card together in less than a minute.  It took longer to decide what background and card stock I wanted to use!

The base is Melon Mambo cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".  The dotted paper and the sentiment paper are both from Project Life Everyday Adventure set.  The dotted paper had to be trimmed down on one end to 5 1/4" and it was already perfect at 4".

How simple is that?  Other papers in the set are blank with lines or colors or some kind of decoration for you to journal on for your scrapbook needs, but nothing says you can't stamp on them instead and make a perfectly unique card!

The main interest for Project Life is scrapbooking, so here are a couple of pages I've made from our trip to Sea World... from 2009.  I'm a little behind, but with Project Life, I was able to slide the pictures into these pockets and journal on beautifully coordinated papers that are already pre-cut to perfect size!

This is just a small sample of what's to come in the upcoming new Annual Catalog due to be ready for release on June 2nd (June 1st is a Sunday, so the first day for public ordering is June 2nd).

If you are a regular customer of mine, you will automatically be receiving a new catalog either in the mail (for my long distance customers) or hand delivered for those I see on a daily basis.

If you do not have a demonstrator and would like to receive a catalog from me, just place an order of at least $60.00 (before tax and shipping) between May 2nd and May 12th (10 days).  This is provided by me, so you will need to place your order on my online store.  Remember, you only have until Midnight, Mountain Time.

Your free catalog will be mailed to you after I receive my shipment of catalogs which I can place on May 1st - oh the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!

If you just want to order a catalog, let me know, I am taking pre-orders now. Catalogs are $6.00 and that includes priority postage to you, when I get the catalogs I will let you know.

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Hump Day!

A Peek at the Cover of the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog

On Monday night 7600 of our closest Stampin' Up! friends gathered across the United States and into Canada, for the Premier of the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog!

We had a fabulous time getting some sneak peeks on screen from a live presentation in California. We were treated to some amazing ideas and new techniques and Boy OH  Boy, just WAIT until you see what Stampin' Up! has in store for you all!

According to Stampin’ Up!’s new policies concerning what we can now share with customers in person and online, I am NOW allowed to share this with you.  While I can’t show you all that’s inside just yet, I can show you the outside cover and you can see a few sneak peeks by looking very closely there.  As soon as I can pre-order and receive my new toys, you can be sure I'll be sharing what I make!

What a great time to be a demonstrator!  You should join me and YOU TOO can have a new catalog in your hand and pre-order early with the rest of us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Perfectly Penned on Modern Medley

Modern Medley was one of the first DSP's I received last year as part of a prize package I won and I'm down to just scraps of it.  So glad I saved the scraps so I could make these two cards.  So easy to do and with such elegant results.

Start with Basic Black card stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  Layer with Very Vanilla cut at 5 1/4" x 4" (cut two in Very Vanilla to line the inside of the card for writing or a stamped sentiment).  My scraps were big enough that I was able to use my Banners Framelits Dies to cut them exactly, but if you don't have scraps big enough, then simply cut into strips and snip the flag ends into each one.

On one of them I made the flags go all the way end to end on the other I stopped short and added the bling to the top instead of the lower left.

The stamps used is Perfectly Penned.

Modern Medley and Perfectly Penned are both on the retired list, so don't wait too long if you want to add them to your collection.

Thank You With a Flourish

Thankfully Flowering Flourish is not one of the stamp sets that's retiring!  There are so many pretty things to do with it.  I would be so sad if it went away.

Here are a couple of cards I made with Flowering Flourish, Petite Petals and Peaceful Petals (sentiment).  Quick to put together and beautiful with the Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White.

Lace Tape and Retired Bling - and don't forget FREE SHIPPING!

Just a couple of cards to show you some items you may want to get before they are gone!  I do have to admit, when I first purchased the Delicate Details Lace Tape, I wasn't fond of it.  It just seemed so plain to me, not my style.  Then I spotted someone using it to make quick and easy cards and ran with it.  I really do like the way this looks.  What do you think?

The cards with five little circles are our Note Cards (5" x 3 1/2") and the ones with six is the standard A2 size card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4").

Strips are cut at 3/4" x 3 1/2" for the note card size and 3/4" x 4 1/4" for the standard sized card.

For this card, I made a strip 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" adding the lace on top.

As you can see - any color can be used and coordinated with paper and ink.

To purchase any of these items used - just click on the items below to go to my store.  REMEMBER - FREE SHIPPING this week and the Lace Tape and Large Pearls and Rhinestones are being retired and could sell out soon.  Don't wait!

Hugs,
