Team Swapping Fun

Today I want to share some of the awesome card swaps we had at our weSTAMP Team Meeting from Monday night.  The theme this week was to have something on the card that was made using the Big Shot.  Speaking of the Big Shot, there is a fabulous special coming from Stampin' Up! that includes the Big Shot, so be ready for that announcement very soon!

The first card here was made by my fearless upline, Lorri Heiling.  Don't you just LOVE Elmo!?  I think this card is just so adorable and makes me want to find some children that would enjoy receiving it.

Click on the card to check out Lorri's Blog.

This next card / invite is made by Stefanie McKenitt.  Halloween will be here before you know it and thankfully the upcoming Holiday Catalog has some fabulous Halloween ideas inside.  If you would like to have a Halloween Catalog, please let me know and as soon as they are released I'll send one to you!

You can find Stefanie's blog << there or by clicking on the picture below.

The third card was made by Marie Freer.  Marie is fairly new to being a Demonstrator and doesn't have a blog, but I will be thrilled to share any comments with her if you care to share them.  This is a cute easel card and is so very creative!

So, take a few minutes and check out Lorri and Stefanie's blogs and leave some love for them there!  We all love to hear comments and suggestions.

We always have SO much fun at our monthly Team Meetings.  If you are in the Phoenix area (we are from all over the Valley of the Sun) I would love it if you would like to sign up with me and join our team and come to our meetings with me.  We have a facebook page just for our team to share and learn together.  It's all GREAT fun!

Not in the Phoenix area and still want to be part of my Team, that's okay too.  We have several girls from across the states who join us via the internet and Skype.  Always fun!

Contact me if you are interested.  I'd love to hear from you!

Thank you for looking in today.  The weekend is just a day away!  Yayyy!

This is one of my favorite stamps to color with the Blendabilities, but I could never figure out how to fill up the white space behind it.  Then today I spotted this idea on Sandi MacIver's blog and was instantly thrilled with it.  Gorgeous Grunge strikes again!  Isn't it a great filler for all that white space?  I inked the smallest specks with Calypso Coral and with Wild Wasabi (separately of course!), stamped it off first and then onto the card so it was just a light smattering.

I changed up the card itself by making my base Wild Wasabi instead of Whisper White, which I think is just to thin to stand up on it's own, so mine has some extra layers to it.  I also covered the "Sweetbriar Rose" with my happy birthday sentiment.

Inside I stamped the matching sentiment that goes with the outside one from Petite Pairs.

Ouch! Stepped on them Again!

What kid doesn't love LEGOS!?  And what parent doesn't remember stepping on them at 2:00 a.m.?

My two boys (now 32 and 28) were both crazy about Legos and were very creative in their building.  I miss those days.  Not so much stepping on those sharp little pieces in the middle of the night though.  OUCH!!

I stamped the Legos three times with Momento ink then colored them using the Blendabilities.  I just LOVE the way they color in so completely. Don't get me wrong, I love our Stampin' Write markers for inking certain areas on a stamp, but for full color coloring, these Blendies just can't be beat!

Thank you for looking in today and remember, you can find everything you need to make this card listed below and in my store!

Come back later today for this weeks' Weekly Deals or click HERE to see them now.

Little Green Men

Have you seen Toy Story?  If you have kids, I'm sure you have.  Our kids are grown, but we've seen it and still love it!  So, when I saw this little parachuting soldier in the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set, I immediately thought of Toy Story!

I used Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake along with Gorgeous Grunge to make a spotted background.  Gorgeous Grunge is just so useful on so many levels!

I hate to admit it, but I didn't have any Always Artichoke card stock!  I know, shock right???  SO, that will be on my shopping list for my next order.  Instead, I used Old Olive which actually doesn't look too bad in real life, but in the picture really looks more like our retired Gumball Green!

Do you have some little boys that will love this?  I'll bet you do!  Click on any item below to be parachuted into my store!  Happy Shopping!

Fast Flowerpot Card

I saw this idea done by Mary Fish, but changed it up a bit.  Then after I finished it, I changed it up some more.  I think I like my final version best with the mat around the DSP to match the mat under the Whisper White.

What do you think?  The one above, or the one below?

Here they are, side by side.  I still say I like the one with the mats best.  :)

I added some Rhinestones and colored them with Night of Navy Blendabilities (the darkest shade).  I simply LOVE coloring everything in site with those Blendies!  Aren't they beautiful!  So much prettier in person.

Measurements:
Base:  Tangerine Tango - 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Mat:  Night of Navy - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Whisper White - 5" x 3 3/4"
DSP:  2" x 2"
Mat:  Night of Navy 2 1/8" x 2 1/8"

The stamp set is called Good Greetings and will be available in the Holiday Catalog. Yayyy!!  You want to know something awesome about this set?  I earned it for FREE!!!  You could earn free things too as a Demonstrator.   I'd love to have you on my team, just contact me and we can talk or email!

Have a blessed Sunday!
