Hello New Year!

It won't be long now until you can begin purchasing the beautiful new papers and tools from the Occasions Catalog.  January 5, 2016 is the first day and I can hardly wait!

Today's card is a combination of ideas from Billie Moan and Susan Itell.  Thank you ladies for sharing your ideas with us.  This is one of the best things about Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, everyone is so willing to share their ideas.  So much fun!

Recipe:

Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Watermelon Wonder - 5 1/4" x 4"
Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper - 5" x 3 3/4"
Watermelon Wonder Strip - 5" x 1 5/8"
Birthday Bouquet DSP Strip - 4 7/8" x 1 1/2"

Ribbon - 3/8" Whisper White Stitched Satin
Hello You Thinlits
Craft Foam (not Stampin' Up!)

I learned from Susan Itell who shared it from Jennifer McGuire, that Craft Foam can be used with our Framelits and in the Big Shot, so after work on Wednesday, I went and found some craft foam.  Even better, I found craft foam that has adhesive on one side, so I only had to use glue on the cardstock to attach it to the foam!  Wooo Hoo!

The Craft Foam acts like our Stampin' Dimensionals, but allows you to pop up the entire word.  You can do the same thing by cutting and layering a couple of layers of the Whisper White Thick Cardstock, but this is so much cooler!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy New Year!!

I love hearing from you! Your comments and questions are the highlight of my day!

Tip Day Tuesday, Gifts and Weekly Deals

Remember to check out the Weekly Deals!

These great little calendars will be gifts for my customers.  I've been trying to do these for a while and always thought of them too late to get calendars.  This year I started early and ta-da!  I have the calendars.  Planning ahead really makes a big difference.

Easel cards are so much fun to make and really have a great wow factor for the recipient to keep on their desk or special place of display.  A monthly calendar is a perfect Easel card!

Tip Day Tuesday:

Since there was so much gluing involved in these cards, I needed a way to keep my Multi-purpose glue bottle point down so the glue would always be at the tip.

I used an empty ribbon spool and some scraps of paper.  It's best to use a spool that had a wider ribbon on it so the glue tip doesn't rest on the bottom.  Also, pick one that is a little heavier than some of our older spools.  This particular one was from the 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon.  You could also attach two smaller ones together if needed.

Perfect!

Thank you for looking in today.

Spring and Christmas Together

I just can't leave the Balloon Builders (Spring Catalog) stamps alone!  When I spotted this mouse on Susan Itell's blog, I just had to make it.  I changed up a few things and made it a birthday card.

Although the front sentiment comes from "Oh, What Fun" in the (Christmas Catalog), it is a perfect sentiment to work into a birthday card!  This set WILL be retiring January 4th when the Christmas catalog ends, so if you don't have it, grab it now!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Basic Gray - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Strips - 3/4" x 3 7/8" (and shorter for top)
Ink:  Real Red, Smoky Slate
Ribbon: 1/8" Striped Ribbon
Stamps:  Oh What Fun, Balloon Builders

Inside Sentiment:  Big News

Thank you for looking in today!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends.  We enjoyed Christmas Eve at the home of my oldest son, Billy and his roommate Bobby.  My youngest, Robert, was supposed to be there too but wasn't feeling well, so he came to my house instead for breakfast.

My Son and I

My Son, Me and Bobby (who has been like a son for years!)

It was different not doing our usual tradition, but also fun to have someone else cook.  Billy made a wonderful meal and I brought pecan bars for dessert.

This is Milo (although that name hasn't been set in stone yet).  She came up to Bobby's house one day last week and just made herself at home.  She's a beautiful pit-mix with brindle tones.  But look how she sits.  Crazy dog looks like her hips are dislocated!  I'm not crazy about pit's but she's just as sweet as can be.  She loves leaning against your feet or legs and being petted.  I think she's adopted her new family!

My youngest son, Robert and I.  Pay no attention to my horrible picture... it was pre-makeup!

Just For You - Sneak Peek Quick Card

This big bold "just for you" is going to be a favorite next month and the best part of all, it is FREE as a Sale-a-Bration item with a $50.00 purchase.  I love Sale-a-Bration time with all the freebies everyone can earn beginning in January!

Paired with Everyday Chic Designer Series Papers, some embossing powder and a splash of color, and you've got a fabulous easy card!

One of the inside stamps that goes with this set is shown below.  I sent it to my BFF in Southern Arizona for her Birthday card.  Poor kid has a birthday on Christmas Eve and tends to have it overlooked with Christmas celebrations.

So this "Just For You" helps her know she's special and can celebrate in style!

I also made one with dots on the outside, instead of the hearts... the hearts go to my Bestie!

Happy Christmas Eve Eve (December 23rd).  I'm so excited for Christmas this year.  We will be going to my oldest Son's house for Christmas Eve dinner which will be a first.  I'm looking forward to something different this year - I think it will be fabulous!  Pictures to follow the big day!

Thank you for looking in today.

Blessings and wishes for a wonderful Christmas ~

Reindeer Paper Clips... almost missed these!

Are you ready for Christmas?  I think I am... and then I realized this weekend I had these great Reindeer clips and I hadn't used them yet!  Yikes!

So, here they are, two versions - one for mailing and one for hand-delivery.

This one would be best for hand-delivery - using a pom-pom for the nose.

And this one with the "flat" nose from Home for Christmas Enamel Dots.   These have some dimension to them, but would mail nicely while the pom-pom's are pretty big and would probably jam up the postal machines.  They sure don't have time to be jammed up now!

Recipe:

Mossy Meadow - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Cherry Cobbler - 5 1/4" x 4"
Merry Moments Designer Series Paper - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Cherry Cobbler - 5 1/4" x 1 3/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/8" x 1 1/2"

Stamps:  Versatile Christmas

Extras:
Reindeer Paper Clips
Home For Christmas Enamel Dots
Real Red Pom Pom Trim

Thank you for looking in today.  It won't be long until Christmas Day!

An Adorable Sneak Peek!

My apologies for being missing the last few days.  So much going on getting ready for Christmas and I simply ran out of time!

So, how about we start this Sunday with a cute little Birthday Chickie.  This sweet chick can be  yours FREE as well as the balloon she's hiding behind her back.  That's right, they are both part of a Free Sale-a-Bration set that will be starting in January.

I began by stamping the chick onto So Saffron card stock and fussy cutting out just the chick's body.  The feet are stamped directly onto the Whisper white.  The balloon is stamped onto Watermelon Wonder and fussy cut as well as the bow onto Pool Party.

Stamp the Sentiment, Chick and Balloon onto the Whisper White and then adhere the hand cut pieces onto their proper places.  Color the beak and feet with Watermelon Wonder.

Recipe:

Stamps:  Rose Wonder (Occasions) and Honeycomb Happiness (Sale-a-Bration)

So Saffron - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Pool Party 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper 4 5/8" x 3 3/8" (Occasions Catalog)
Whisper White 4 5/8" x 2"

I hope these sneak peeks are getting you excited about the upcoming Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration freebies!

My regular customers should have received their catalogs by now.  If you would like one and don't have a regular Demonstrator, please email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com and I'll be sure to get you one right away!

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Balloon Builder Butterfly

Can you tell how much I love the Balloon Builder stamps from the upcoming Occasions Catalog?  I just can't stop playing with them!

Look closely for the shine from the Wink of Stella pen all over the butterfly wings!

Recipe:

Wisteria Wonder - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Subtles Color Collections - 5 1/2" x 4"
Whisper White (inside) 5 1/4" x 4"

About half way down (2 3/4") the long side of your Color Collections, cut into the center about 2 inches.  Gently score using a straight line (ruler or piece of card stock) from the corner to the center of your cut.  Repeat from other corner into the center.  Gently fold back the corners and use a small amount of adhesive to keep the fold back.  I just put a bit at the corner to keep the fold full looking.

Stamp your chosen sentiment and add a focal point.  Mine is the butterfly made from balloons from Balloon Builder set that will be available in January.

Place a piece of Whisper White inside for writing or stamping another sentiment of your choice.

Thank you for looking in today.  Don't forget to check out today's Weekly Deals.

Just Bee-Cause (Sneak Peek)

This adorable bee comes from the 2016 Occasions Catalog.  Isn't this just the cutest idea?  The bee idea comes from the catalog along with some others you will see me posting later this week.  The stamp set is called Balloon Builder and I just LOVE it!

I think you will too when you see it.  I wish I could show you the set, but for now you will have to wait and just see what I make with it.

Having a "bee" card, the best sentiment is "just BEEcause", right?  But since we don't have that on a stamp, I compromised and made it with "just because"from "And Many More"

To make this, I inked up "just bec" with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and stamped it on Whisper White cardstock.  Using the fine tip of my marker, I closed in the "c" to look like an "e".

Then I carefully cleaned the stamp and using my Stamp-a-majig I inked up "cause" and moved it over just a tad to the right of "bee".  Perfect!

I wanted to wings to sparkle, so I used another fun item from the Occasions catalog to add some glimmer to the wings.  Wait until you see the Wink of Stella Brush in January!  I wish you could see the sparkle better in this picture.  Trust me it is beautiful!

If you'd like to get a closer look, you can join my Team and get some for yourself in your starter kit!  That's right, you can order from the Occasions Catalog to make your starter kit!  If you join my team, I will send an adorable Bee Card to you, Just Bee-Cause!

If you'd rather not join my team, that's okay... I'd be perfectly happy to have you as a customer!  If you don't already have a Demonstrator and would like to have an Occasions Catalog and a Sale-a-Bration brochure, just send me an email and I'll get one to you.  Email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com.

Thank you for looking in today!  Here comes another week!

December Workshop Thank You's

Inspired by an adorable full sized thank you card from Lorri Heiling, I made my 3" x 3" for my customers from Sue's December workshop.

This is Lorri's card, isn't it adorable?

Here are the cards I made.

Recipe ~

Whisper White - 6" x 3", scored at 3"
Decorative Dots Embossing folder (I couldn't find my Softly Falling when I was working on these!)
Cherry Cobbler - punched with Note Tag punch
Dazzling Diamonds - die cut with the Small Snowman from Snow Friends Framelits
Basic Black - die cut the Top Hat from Snow Friends Framelits.

Whisper White - stamped with "thank you" from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched with Word Windo Punch.
Rhinestone Jewel to decorate his hat.

I think these are just so cute!  Thank you again to Lorri for the much needed inspiration!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!
