Top of My Wish List

There are so many wonderful products coming up in the Holiday Mini.  Almost too many to pick a favorite, but I have to say, as soon as I saw the Hearth and Home Thinlits and the Happy Scenes stamp set that will bundle with them, I knew I had my "first" favorite.

There have been so many cute cards over the years with this great window, but since Stampin' Up! didn't carry it, I didn't own in.  Now, I can and I can hardly wait to get my hands on it!

Just look at these great cards we were able to see at Convention.

I bet you can't wait to get your hands on them too!

If you are a regular customer, you will be receiving a Holiday Catalog from me.  If you would like to be a regular customer, I'd love to send you your very own copy.  Just email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com and let me know you would like a copy.  If you already have a Demonstrator, please be sure to contact them as I don't want to take you away from someone else.

Thank you for looking in today.  If you like what you see, leave a comment.  I love to hear from you!

Joy Fold Card for Christmas

This Joy Fold Card was shared on the blog Too Cool Stamping by Angie Leach.  I loved it so much I got right to work on making some.

I started by making a thank you card or two... and then some birthday cards and then I just had to do one with the free set I received at Convention "Your Presents" and the DSP (Designer Series Papers) we also received "Season of Cheer".  Thank you Angie for the great instructions and awesome card!

I believe I'll be making more of these.  They are fun and easy and really have a nice look to them.

Begin with a base of 7" x 5 1/2" then score it at 2 3/4" to make a shortened front cover.  For this card I used Mossy Meadow.

The second card layer is 6 1/2" x 4 1/2", scored at 3 1/4", I used Real Red for this layer.

Cut a piece of DSP 5 3/8" x 2 5/8".  Be sure when you choose your DSP, that it will be visually correct for the side panel (you don't want your hanging lights laying sideways).

Cut two pieces of cardstock on which you will be stamping - 4 3/8" x 3 1/8".  Here I used Whisper White.

The sentiments for the front come from Your Presents and Crazy About You.  I wanted the word "Christmas" to go in front of "Joy" but loved the way "Celebrating" worked out.

Inside I stamped the Christmas trees from Your Presents using my Stamp-a-Majig so they would line up.  The inside sentiment comes from Wondrous Wreath (135047) which was a set carried over from last Christmas into this year's Annual Catalog.

To find everything to make these cards (except the new stamps and designer series paper) click on any of the photo links below.  Beginning September 1st you can order them from the Holiday Mini catalog which should begin mailing this week.

If you don't have a regular Demonstrator and would like a Free Holiday Mini or even a full size Annual Catalog, just email me and I will be happy to send you one.  If you'd like to order from the Holiday Mini even sooner (August 4th) contact me and JOIN MY TEAM!

Holiday Mini - Sneak Peek at Your Presents

All attendee's at this year's Convention received the stamp set Your Presents as well as a kit with card stock and envelopes to make two projects.  We used those items in one of the classes we went to and along with the kit was a flyer with some other ideas on using the stamps.

Below is my interpretation of one of the samples.  There are many more ideas that I can hardly wait to make and share with you.

It was so great going to  Convention and learning about so many great ways to use our tools.  For this set, we used the kissing technique.  I was having some difficulty getting the look I wanted, so I tried something else and it worked out great.

I'll share that with you later.

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Wednesday and Happy Crafting!

Howl-o-Ween Sneak Peek

There's no place like home!

Home again from a fabulous trip to Salt Lake City, Utah and the 2015 Stampin' Up! Convention.  This year was my very first Convention and it was a wonderful time.  One of the best parts of Convention was Prize Patrol and I won!  Yipppeeee!!!

I can't show you the set just yet, but I can show you what I make with it, so here is my first creation from my prize - Howl-o-ween Treat.

You may think this card is upside down, but nope, it's exactly as it should be.  I know, owls don't hang upside down, but I thought he would make a cute "bat" with the way his wings are spread out.

For now, he (I guess it could be a she) was fussy cut, but after August, I won't have to do that anymore, why you may ask.... well, this set has a matching framelits.  Yayyy!!

Inside are two more stamps from the set.  Don't you just love the little spider?  So cute (for a spider!).

Recipe:

Card stock:  Pumpkin Pie - 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2"
DSP:  Pretty Petals (138442)
Moons:  Daffodil Delight - Circles Collection Framelits (130911)
Branch:  Sprinkles of Life (extended to be longer with Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker)
Ink:  Crushed Curry for sponging the moons and OUR NEW ARCHIVAL BASIC BLACK Stampin' Pad

Thank you for looking in today.  Keep watching for more sneak peeks into the upcoming Holiday Mini catalog!

A Peek at My Swap Cards

Here are some of the swaps I made for Convention.  If you follow my blog, you may have seen these earlier as full cards.  For swapping at Convention, I made just the card fronts.  I loved this one so much after I made the original cards, that I knew they would be perfect and easy to make and share.

You can see full details on making them HERE.

Thank you for looking in today.  Today I will be taking a tour of the Stampin' Up! Campus plus team meetings with two different groups of great gals!  Going to be a great day.

On The Road I Go... to Convention!

I bet you thought I was going to show them to you, didn't you?  Tee hee...not yet.

There are 12 special ones for our team swap and the rest are for whoever else will be swapping.  About 60 total.  From what I've heard from others, I'm thinking I need more, but this is what I'll have with me.

I'm super excited to go and have days with all my stamping friends as well as making new friends.  Look out Salt Lake City, here we come!

Be sure to watch my personal facebook page for updates from the Convention.

If you will be at Convention and follow my blog, I hope you will say hello.

On the road I go!  Traveling Tuesday!

Thanks a Latte Paper Pumpkin

This month's Paper Pumpkin is super easy and so cute.  I have to admit though, I didn't do one with the plant or greenery coming out of the top.  My mind just couldn't deal with it.  ha ha!

Look here... best part of all for all you who love tying bows... they are already DONE for you!

The stamps in this set are just adorable!  Well, minus the weird plants... lol.  I love the sentiments, cup, steam and tea bag tag.  Too Cute!

Don't forget to dress up the envelope too!

If you would like to receive a fun new kit each month, just go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com and sign up.  Be sure to select me as Demonstrator and let me know you've signed up and I'll send you a little extra thank you from me!

Two More Wishes Cards

Five more cards made Friday night - took less than 30 minutes to make the five from the kit!  Spent more time looking for the dimensionals that kept slipping to the bottom of the box!  ha ha!

Here are a couple of them for you.  The instructions for this one below only showed the "hello" stamped two times.  I preferred three, so three it was!

I love the soft look of the watercolor pattern.  So pretty and delicate.

I sure like the look of popping up the window with dimensionals.  It really adds some pop to cards.

Three more sleeps until I get on the road to Convention!  I can hardly wait - my very FIRST Stampin' Up! Convention.

Remember, during the month of July, if you order this Watercolor Wishes Kit from me, I'll send you a little thank you after I return from Convention.  Use Hostess code MBENMSQV before July 31st and be sure I know who you are when you order so I can send your surprise!

Thank you for looking in!

Happy Saturday!

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit

Today I received my Watercolor Wishes Card Kit and I can tell I'm going to love working with it!  Expect to see several cards from this kit while I'm at Convention next week as I plan to work on them this weekend and have them ready for posting while I'm away.

During the month of July, if you purchase this set from me and use hostess code:  MBENMSQV I'll send you an extra surprise when I get home from Convention.  Just my little thank you for being my customer while I'm off attending my very first Convention!

Here is my first card.  Took less than five minutes to stamp the sentiment and put it together.  I spent more time taking pictures of it I think!

The beautiful chevron print is already on the card.  All I had to do was pop out the pink square, flowers and leaves; stamp the sentiment and attach it all together.  How easy is that!

It was a little hard to get a photo since my background for photography is white and the card is white.  Sure is a pretty card though.

Here's a couple of pictures of what comes inside the kit.  I can't wait to get it all out and put it together!

I was really pleased to see the instruction booklet that came with the kit.  Some of the first kits that we received through My Paper Pumpkin had ridiculously teeny tiny pictures and instructions.  You can see these are nice and clear!

Thank you for looking in today.
