Stacks of Flowering Fields

With Flowering Fields - a free selection from Sale-a-bration - your options are really unlimited in making some simple yet perfect cards.

I cased the measurements and idea from LeeAnn Greff.  Thank you LeeAnn for your great ideas!

Recipe:

Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White Cardstock for stamping - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Basic Black - 4 5/8" x 3 3/8"
Basic black Strip - 4" x 1/4"
Subtles Color Collections Designer Series Paper - 3 1/4" x 1"

To make the banner on the black strip - simply slip one end into the Banner Punch just a little and punch.

I stamped the flowers with Memento Black Ink and then gently colored them in with our Stampin' Write Markers.  I used Blushing Bride, Marina Mist, Wisteria Wonder and Soft Sky.

I also added some Wink of Stella Clear on the flowers.

Thank you for looking in today.  I'm off to have a Birthday Lunch with Robert today - I can hardly wait to catch up with him!

Happy Saturday!  Donna

  1. Oh so pretty! I love all of these. That black mat and banner really set off the colors so well! I keep scrolling up and down trying to decide which is my favorite card and I just can't decide. They are all so pretty. Love the fun sentiments too. With the black banner part that reminds me of a window with a window box. Anyway, a great set of cards!

  2. I checked out LeeAnn's inspiration and those were pretty too plus a box for them. I think I will go back and visit her blog and check out the video.

I received your card today - how pretty. I enjoyed your signature part on the back - that was very clever. Of course I laughed at what was included! I will let you know when how and when I make the card. The rate I go lately I can make it a Christmas in July card for Pam. Whenever she gets it she laugh laugh so hard I bet! THANK YOU!

    1. I'm so glad you got the card and the inserts! Can't wait to see your Christmas in July (or whenever you get them done).

I liked the box that LeeAnn did as well. I just didn't do that part, at least not yet. I probably will when I make cards for gifts. The box will make it perfect.

      Thank you for checking in!
