Thinking of You

I saw this great idea on Becky Robert's blog as a card she made for a swap.  I instantly fell in love with it and this is my attempt at re-creating it.

There are two versions.  The top version was my second attempt and I still think it needs a bit more.

The difference is the large butterfly stamped onto the  cardstock under the die-cut butterfly.  The top one uses Crumb Cake - stamped off once.  I'm thinking I shouldn't stamp off at all because it dries so much lighter than when it is wet.

The one below I used Sahara Sand, also stamped off once and now that it has dried, it is barely visible at all.

Here are the details.  Play with it and let me know what works best in your opinion!

Very Vanilla - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4
Perfect Plum - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

Very Vanilla - 5" x 3 3/4"

Stamps:  Greatest Greetings and Sheltering Tree

Perfect Plum punched with the four leaf flower from Itty Bitty Punch Pack (retiring)
Very Vanilla - Bold Butterfly Thinlits
Gold Metallic Thread - Wrap several times around three fingers and attach with a Dimensional.

Attach to the butterfly and then a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

You can use any sentiment that works for what you need.  Photopolymer works best, but wood works too.

Workshop today with the girls, I'm excited to craft with friends!  Yayyy!

Thank you for looking in today - Happy Saturday!

  1. I see what you mean between the two. I think the top one is a bit more visible than the other. But, both are pretty cool. The mating is fun on there and goes so well with the sentiment you stamped several times. That is really cool. Love it! I still can't believe they are retiring the Itty Bitty Punch Pack - it seems everyone loves it and uses it all the time. So, what did for the workshop today?

    1. So, you'll have to see Sunday's post to see how our workshop turned out. It's nearly midnight and I'm off to bed. I'm sleeping in for Mother's Day! LOL
