Washi Background

As a Demonstrator, I like to use up all that I can before the new products come in, so today I wanted to use more of the Cherry On Top Washi Tape (retiring).  Apparently I really like it because I have two rolls of each roll!

To line up the Washi Tape easily, I lay it down on my Silicone Craft Sheet and then fold the edges over to the back so the edges won't come up if the weather is more humid.

Recipe:

Bermuda Bay - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Whisper White 5" x 3 3/4"
Basic Black - 3 3/8" x 3 1/8"
Whisper White - 3 1/4" x 3"

Don't forget to decorate the envelope too.  You can simply fold the edges over the flap.  Be sure to seal the envelope so the recipient will need to use a letter opener and won't ever see your fold over!

Thank you for looking in today.  It's "Friday Eve" which means the weekend will be here soon!

  1. Love your card as much as I love the statement that you apparently really liked it since you had two of each roll! A very fun and colorful card! Love it popped up on the black for making it even more colorful - just really makes it pop! Love the envelope and would have most likely cut the ends off and not wrapping them around like on the card. That is also a great idea of using the silicone mat for this too. Thanks for the tip!

    1. Thank you Chris! You know, I thought about trimming off the Washi from the flap, like I do when I cover the flap with DSP, but I worry about it peeling up going through the postal machines. Just glue that flap down so the recipient will have to slice across the top! ha ha ha!

    2. I can see it now, the tape peeled off my envelope and mucked up the postage machine. Somehow they traced it back to me. I can see the headlines now! Oh the nightmares! I wonder who invented Washi tape - Mr. Washi? We know it wasn't 3M!
