Christmas Cheer in a Cup

'Tis the Season for Gift Cards!  Gift cards always seem so impersonal, like you didn't take the time to come up with that personal gift.  However... when that person loves coffee, a gift card to their favorite coffee shop delivered in a cute card is perfect!

Recipe:
Thick Whisper White - 11" x 4 1/4", scored at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2"
Whisper White scraps big enough to stamp and cut the cup and lid from Merry Cafe
Quilted Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - 4" x 4" and 4" x 1 1/2"

Stamps - Merry Cafe
Ink - Garden Green and Real Red

Fold card base on the score lines.  To make the inside pocket for the gift card fold in and adhere just the sides with Fast Fuse or Multipurpose Glue (Green Glue).

I believe when I make more, I'll add a bit more decoration inside.  I know I'll be making more, there's no doubt about that.

Thank you for looking in today.  Here comes another week!

  1. Perfect for the coffee drinker or tea. Or, just an occasion for a gift card. My FIL likes to have coffee with his buddies so that makes it an easy present. I already have the card holder made for him. That is the only thing I have ready though I did buy Mike a book yesterday for Christmas. I could make your card and add a packaged tea bag or two which would be fun to have on hand. I think our UPS and Fed Ex guys would prefer something else now and then but I know my substitute mail carrier would love it.

    1. Oh yes, I think a teabag would fit nicely in there. Especially the ones that are packaged one that's nicely wrapped. You could even make a tea bag tag coming out of the cup on the front! I'd love to see what you come up with.
