Going, Going, Almost Gone... Last Chance Today

Today is your last possible chance to order from the retiring Idea Book and Catalog - I'm so glad the new name for the new catty is "Annual Catalog" - so I don't have to type out all that from the old one!

Going, going, gone....  If there are any last minute things you want to order before the old IB&C retires, now is the time to get it done, don't delay.

Tomorrow morning I will make the new catalog available online for you to see and beginning at 12:00 Noon (MT) we can begin ordering from the new Annual Catalog.

Have you received your new Catalog yet?  How long is your wish list??  Mine is very very long and growing every time I open the book... normal, right?

Tomorrow is an exciting day for another reason.  It will be my 2 year anniversary with Stampin' UP!  I'm so excited to have spent the last 2 years learning fun new  ideas and craft from  so many talented people in the Stampin' UP! world.  People just amaze me with their creativity.  I keep thinking, why couldn't I have thought of that???

So, start working on your wish list.  Our first workshop ordering from the New Annual Catalog is scheduled for Saturday, June 23rd, at my house.  Our Hostess will be Brittney - she always has the first party with the new catty!  Those who attend can plan on receiving something from me that no one else will have and you can only receive it at this party... so be prepared.

Happy Stampin!

Operation Write Home

What a great day today!!  A few of us got together and ended up making 100 cards to send to Operation Write Home.  This is an amazing organization that has sent over One Million cards to our Servicemen and Servicewomen so that they can send home a nice card to family and friends while they are away.

Today wouldn't have been nearly as successful as it was without Linda putting together pre-cut and pre-punched packets so that all the girls had to do was assemble!  Thank you LINDA and thank you for lunch too, it was yummy!

Here are some pictures from today.  More pictures are available on my facebook page - Donna Kish - not my Stamps Well With Others facebook page.  Since the cards were made with non-SU products, this was not an SU event, just a way to use up some old papers.  You'll recognize the stamps as SU, can't resist using them!

If you have some friends that you can gather together to make cards for this wonderful organization, I highly recommend it.  It was fun and I can hardly wait to get them mailed off and start making more for our next adventure!

Have a wonderful Memorial Weekend and remember to honor those for whom this weekend is all about.  Barbeques and Picnics with family are a wonderful thing, but be sure to remember the reason we have this weekend to be with our loved ones and honor those who have died for our freedom!

New Firm Foam Stamp Pads

I can hardly wait for you to try the new Stampin' Up!'s new Firm Foam stamp pads.  I've used them on a couple of things and I really love them.  Admitting that means I'll be buying all the colors eventually... probably sooner than later.

There is something you need to know about this new design.  When you ink up your stamps, you need to remember that you no longer need to press hard on the ink pad.  The pads are really moist and juicy and almost feel like the pad on a VersaMark ink pad.  As a matter of fact, because the pads are so moist, the ink stays wet a little longer which enables embossing without having to use a Craft Ink Pad which means you should be able to get great color with clear embossing powder on any ink.  I'll have to give it a try and let you know.

The new pads also have these wonderful new labels attached to the bottom.  All you have to do is peel it off and place it on the front.  No more making labels or writing on the front of each pad to have the name visible!

Bottom Line: The new pads really do give GREAT coverage!  Just remember that because the pads are so moist, you'll need to give the ink more time to dry, especially if you live in a humid climate (or it's monsoon season here in Arizona... lol).

Have a great Saturday!

Keep Calm and Carry On... a little history.

I found out about a video on Kay Kalthoff's blog that shows the history of the words in one of our new hostess sets in the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up Catalog called "Carry On."

The words are "Keep Calm and Carry On".  There was a poster rediscovered in a bookstore in Alnwich, Northumbria, England.  Since this stamp set came out, I've seen other forms of "Keep On and..." around.  Once on Deadliest Catch on one of the crab fishing boats and then in Target on a cute little framed picture.  Now this.  This is very interesting.

The weekend is almost here and this Saturday is my Stampin' UP! Catalog Retirement and Yard Sale.  It will be a fun weekend stamping with the girls!

Have a happy Friday!

You Will LOVE the New Annual Catalog!

I've lost count of how many times I've looked through the new catalog and I'm ready to open it up again and pick out my free sets that I earned from the Sale-a-bration Promotion!  So many things on my wish list so I have to whittle it down to my two freebies.  Woo Hooo!!

You too could be picking out free stamp sets if you joined my team AND you would be able to have an early copy in your hands ahead of everyone else.  That's the greatest thing about being a Stampin' Up! demo... sneak peeks before anyone else.  The new standard Starter Kit is here! Now, every new Stampin’ Up! demonstrator can create a customized Starter Kit for just $99. This is just one of the ways Stampin’ Up! is demonstrating the My Way philosophy of doing business—by making the Starter Kit completely customizable.  Contact me directly if you'd like to join my team or click here for more information.

Each kit contains a business supplies pack (valued at $65)—things that every demonstrator needs to start their business. After that, the choice is yours to put together a kit with any of our high-quality products. You can choose $125 worth of any traditional or digital supplies to create a kit valued at over $190 that still ships for free!

NOW... onto some sneak peeks of my own.  My package of pre-order items arrived yesterday and once my headache cleared today I started playing.  Both are very simple cards.  I just wanted to get my hands on the new colors and new ink pads.  I have to say I think you will LOVE the new ink pads when you try them.  I know I did and still do.  They are amazingly juicy and stamp so clean!

I really like these colors together.  I wasn't sure when I saw them on the preview but in real life, they are awesome together!  Midnight Muse and Gumball Green - two of the newest In-Colors for 2012-2014.
