World on a String

So today is my baby's birthday so I thought I'd post a card that would appeal to him... not as a birthday card, but because he loves animals so much and I wanted to play with the Balloon Builders again.  Not that he'll see this as I doubt he looks at my blog.  LOL

This was a quick an easy card to make - my favorite kind.

Recipe:
Base Very Vanilla - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Soft Suede - 5 1/4" x 4"
Very Vanilla - 5" x 3 3/4"

I popped up the Soft Suede layer with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it a little lift.

Thank you for looking in today.  Only two more days to the weekend when I get to go out for lunch with my Birthday Boy!

Happy Thursday and Happy Birthday Robert!  ~

  1. Love the puppy balloons! Such a fun and happy card even in using sort of the sepia colors with the soft suede and vanilla. Well, they are dogs so the colors work perfectly if you ask me! I just realized that the "ears" look like jelly beans so you could use that for Easter! Sometimes you just need to make a card to make you smile and this just does the trick! In a few minutes I have to go to the CTMH demo's house to make some cards and one is using their new balloon set but I think it it just the stamp of the month set. She kept bugging me to come so I finally caved in. Happy birthday to your son!

    1. I'm anxious to see what you make today. Email me with a picture!

Take a look back at January 2, 2016: http://donnas-stampswellwithothers.blogspot.com/2016/01/make-your-own-dsp.html for a look at my jelly beans! I love this stamp set - so cute for so many different reasons!

I promise not to tell anyone you peeked into the "dark side" at CTMH. LOL

    2. I had forgotten about the jelly bean card! I actually had a good time making the other brand of cards and they turned out a lot nicer than I had thought they would. They are just trying out the framlits type of dies and I showed her some tricks to using them. She had bought the magnetic platform and was having problems with the small ones moving on her. I had my Big Shot for almost a year before I took it out of the box to use - I was so anxious thinking I would break it!
