My Paper Pumpkin - July 2016

My Paper Pumpkin arrived today and I thought I'd throw a couple of the kits together and then make an alternate card to go with them.  I have to say, these are really cute, but I like the card I made better!

I got the idea for the card from the facebook group - Paper Pumpkin Fan Club.  Anyone can join there and get some great ideas on alternative things to do with your kits.

Card Recipe:

Flirty Flamingo Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Emerald Envy - 5" x 3 3/4"
Whisper White - 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"
Flirty Flamingo - 3 5/8" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 3/8" x 2" - stamped with one of the stamps inside the Paper Pumpkin Kit

Tag - from kit

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a great Tuesday!  ~

  1. OK I pulled it back out and decided they might be useful as a little treat holder. But I am still holding out on more alternative ideas! Your card is cute. I could also see using the regals collection of colors for the gemstones - I think the cherry cobbler would make an awesome looking garnet. Then stamping with gold or something metallic looking. I think I need a group of people who would enjoy getting little treats. I am going to play with the option of not sealing it up totally so they are reusable. Maybe I will do them for the police instead of cookies esp individually wrapped candies. I guess I am a little slow on the creative side. Thanks for letting me use you as a crutch! I might have to save that wonderful baker's twine for myself and other cards rather than tassels. I think I will make a template of these so I can make more as they look like they would be easy to cut out. It looks like it is going to pour down so I think I have my rainy day project! Much more fun than cleaning!

  2. Maybe a stepping stone sounds better than a crutch! Or, a sounding board (whatever that is).

    1. Stepping stone; crutch, whatever! LOL

I think I'm saving the bakers twine as well, it's too pretty to waste on a tassel that I'm not crazy about! You have a good idea there with the cherry cobbler, it would make a fabulous garnet or ruby!

Thank you for always commenting. It means so much!
