Swirly Fireworks

How about a little more Red, White and Blue to start off the the holiday weekend?  Today at the office we'll be having a hamburger and hotdog BBQ.  Always fun, but I always feel bad for the guys doing the cooking.  It's so stinkin' hot here these days.  Our monsoon's have started, so it has cooled off a bit, but now we have muggy to go with the hot.  We're all pretty used to the hot oven, but add the humid and it's awful!

I've always thought these great little swirlies would make a great fireworks display, so here they are!

Recipe:

Whisper White - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Real Red 5 1/4" x 4 (that was the plan... but if you look closely I missed somewhere)
Whisper White 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" (again, the plan, that failed)
Stamps - Endless Wishes / Playful Backgrounds

Thank you for looking in today!  I wish you a safe and happy Independence Day weekend!  ~ Donna

  1. Too much fun! The swirls remind me of those horrid sparklers the neighbors always thought I needed to play with. They are fine for others but I was always scared I would get burnt. I always seemed to wave mine in swirly fashion so this card is perfect! Love the little bubbles background stamping too. Just fun and festive card!

Stay cool. I agree about the humidity. We are having a few cooler days and it is marvelous!

    1. Thank you Chris. I received a box of sparklers for my birthday, maybe I'll dig them out and use them this weekend! The bubbles background is fun. I've used it twice now and want to play with the other backgrounds in the set.

      Have a great Friday!
