Cookie Cutter Scarecrow

What do you think of these cute little scarecrows?  I CASEd this idea from Lynn Tague.  I changed up several things, but the pumpkin DSP down the center with the black pattern and the lighter orange pattern is what caught my eye.

Recipe - Crumb Cake or Very Vanilla - 11" x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Halloween Night Designer Series Paper - 2 1/4" x 5 1/2" and 1 3/4" x 5 1/2"
5/8" Burlap Ribbon
Halloween Night Bakers Twine
In-Color Enamel Shapes (on the Crumb Cake Card)
Rhinestone Basic Jewels - colored with Orange Sharpie (on the Very Vanilla Card)

Colors painted from ink in the lid with my Aqua Painter - Dapper Denim, Crumb Cake
Stampin' Write Markers - Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Real Red

Which do you like better?  The dark background or the lighter background behind the pumpkins.

What are your plans this weekend?  I'll be working and getting ready for our Primary Election on Tuesday.  We'll be having training for 100 plus Troubleshooters who will be assisting our 724 polling place workers on Tuesday.  I enjoy this day seeing people that we've worked with every two years for the past 25 years.  So many changes over the years, yet some of the old-timers are still working and helping us out.

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Saturday to you all.   ~ Donna

  1. Adorable! I had not checked out that hop nor Lynn's blog before. I like what I saw and will go back and check it out more. I really like the black DP along the pumpkin DP - it makes it really pop! But I like the pumpkin pie strips too. But, I still think I like the first one the best with the crumb cake cardstock. Love the coloring on the scarecrow. The burlap is perfect and I like the twin tie too. SO cute and well done.

Elections are a lot of work. It is a necessary process. Thanks for your work in the process.

  2. I agree Chris, I like the black DSP best too, it makes the pumpkins easier to see somehow.

Thank you for your thanks! LOL - that sounds funny. There is so much that goes on for people to exercise their right to vote. It is so much more than just walking in and marking their ballot.

I wish more people appreciated and understood that.
