Wild About Flowers Retirement Card #1

Well, Thursday night was my last chance to make Retirement Cards for my three bosses who are retiring today.  I guess procrastination worked, I got all three made and they are all different!  It feels good to have the creative juices flowing.

Here is the first of three.  This one is for Helen Purcell, who is our County Recorder (at least until midnight on December 31st).  She won't see my blog, so her card is safe to post before giving it to her.  The other two will post Saturday morning.

Helen loves the color Red, so Real Red it is!

Base - Real Red - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4" - embossed with Festive Textured Impressions.  Be sure to emboss on the setting with both tabs open all the way with your Big Shot.  My first attempt tore the paper.

Old Olive 5 1/2" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White 5 1/2" x 2"

Real Red Ribbon from the upcoming Occasions Catalog.

Stamps:  Wild About Flowers
Ink:  Real Red, Old Olive

Thank  you for looking in today.  Be safe this weekend if you have New Years' Plans!  We plan to stay inside where it is safe!

  1. I love all the red - this is gorgeous and she will love it! The embossing on it is perfect!

No plans for the weekend and I will probably be in bed by 10:30 give or take. I guess I am not a big party person!

    Happy New Year!

    1. Red is her favorite color, so it had to be the color for her card.

We stayed inside and watched the ball drop at 10 p.m. our time and 11 p.m. and midnight. It was a great night for just being in.
