Balloon Adventures for Mom-in-Law

Now, you might be thinking we are taking her on a hot air balloon for her birthday, but that wouldn't be right!  I'd love to do that though, It's been 30 years since I was in a hot air balloon and I would do it again if I had the chance.  Have you ever been in one?  It is fabulous!

One of the great bundles in the Occasions Catalog is the Balloon Adventures Bundle with a fun Pop-Up Thinlits die.  Isn't this fun?!

Recipe:  Crushed Curry - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Party Animal Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4" x 4"
Party Animal Designer Series Paper 5 1/4" x 1 1/2"
Pacific Point - 5 1/4" x 1 3/4"

Tangerine Tango - for balloon and scalloped square
Whisper White - for Sentiment

Ink:  Pacific Point, Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy

For her gift I put together a box full of a variety of cards and made a box out of some of our beautiful 12 x 12 paper.  I think she'll love it!

Thank you for looking in today.  I apologize for being MIA this week.  It was the first week with new supervision in our office and things have been a little stressful with a lot of changes.  Additionally, one of our cat's, Suzi, is having issues with her creatinine levels in her kidney and has been at the Vet's office receiving IV fluids to flush it out.  It's improving, but they wanted to do another 20 hours, so hopefully they will improve even more and I can bring her home.  Please say a prayer for Suzi and for me.  I'm so stressed over her health - I simply can't lose her - I love that little furball so much. This happened a few years ago and we had improvement, so I'm praying for a few more years with her.  She'll be eleven in March.

Thank you!

  1. She will love the card and gift! I just love that paper with the streamers on it that you used. It is so party like!

Hugs and well wishes for Suzi and you from Ted and myself. Ted, said we are all can use a hug even if you are a cat, he thinks dogs rule you know!

    1. Thank you Chris. Suzi is home and I couldn't be happier to have her here! Her numbers improved but not very much. We'll just keep her on lots of water all around the house and a special diet, which they started her on and she had when she got home and seemed to like it! Yay!

  2. Great that she is home and maybe her numbers will improve being home with all the comforts of home and the new food. Ted has been whiny today but not sure what his problem is. He is eating and everything as normal but just whiny.

    1. Whiny days are the worst! Nike does that sometimes and it drives us crazy trying to figure out if he's okay or just in a mood!

Always fun with pets. Suzi seems to be doing pretty good, eating well and acting normal. I'm very hopeful.
