Dancing in the Moonlight

I spotted this card in passing earlier this weekend and loved the way it looked.  It was done by someone on Splitcoast Stampers named "hobbydujour".  She was using acrylics for coloring, but I thought it might work with our Whisper White watercolor pencil.  so I gave it a try and this is my result.

Recipe:
Whisper White - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Blushing Bride - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Basic Gray - 5" x 3 3/4"

I tried it with Smoky Slate, but there wasn't enough contrast between the white and the gray.

Stamps - Beautiful You
Stamped With Memento Black
Colored with Whisper White Watercolor Pencil
Blended with just a touch of water with Aqua Painter

Inside Sentiment:

Thank you for looking in today.  Ready for another week of fun!

  1. Beautiful! The white on the Basic Gray is perfect! I love how you did the sentiment on the front and then the one on the inside. I like the aqua painters but I haven't played much with the blender pens to see how they work. I am ordering the water color pencils at card club tomorrow night. It will be so cool to have matching colors at times. I like using pencils more than ink for the most part. Great job as always. Really pretty with the Blushing Bride.

    1. Thank you Chris! You will love the watercolor pencils. A perfect selection of colors that can be used with most anything.

I like the Aqua Painters, but sometimes they put out too much water for me. Not so bad on Watercolor Paper, but on regular cardstock, you really need to use the Blender Pens. I like using them, they have just enough moisture to them to work just right. I need to make my re-fills for them again though before they dry out.

I actually mailed the card off to a friend of mine this morning who is going through radiation. I hope it gives her a smile and lets her know I'm thinking of her.
