Sneak Peek Catalog CASE

When I saw our sneak peek of the upcoming Holiday Catalog, I fell immediately in love with this set.  Now that I've stamped these flowers for myself, I'm even more in love with it.

This took only THREE ink colors.  Crushed Curry, Garden Green and Early Espresso.  The flower is a two-step stamp that you first stamp the solid and then the detailed.  I tried both ways with the solid.  On a couple of flowers I just lightly inked it and then stamped, on others I inked and then stamped off gently.  It worked both ways in my opinion.

The Garden Green seemed a bit dark to me, but looks better after drying.  The tricky looking center, really is just Early Espresso.  The stamp is made in such a way that it only barely stamps the middle, making it look like it isn't stamped at all.

Recipe:
Very Vanilla - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Very Vanilla - 5 1/4" x 4"
Crumb Cake - 1 1/4" x 2 1/2"

I wrapped Crushed Curry Bakers Twine around the top layer twice.  On one I tied a bow, on the other just a knot and it is hidden behind the sentiment.

The top layer and the sentiment are both popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

When you get your Holiday Catalog, you will find the supplies and the card I CASED from on page 48.

If you don't have a Demonstrator and would like a catalog, please let me know and I will be happy to drop one into the mail for you!  I got my supply on Saturday!!

Thank you for looking in today!  Let's make it a good week!!

  1. Sunflowers are so bright and cheery if you ask me. I really like these cards. I gotta see if I have some crushed curry twine. I do have some sunflower stamps to see if they are small enough to play with. I remember buying the corduroy buttons thinking they would make fun centers for sunflowers when they appeared in the clearance section a few years ago!

    1. Thank you Chris!

I got lucky on the Crushed Curry twine. I found it this weekend when I was trying to weed out some stuff. It came with a card kit from a couple of years ago I think. I was so happy to find it!
