Hello Fall with Merry Cafe

This is a bit of a CASE from Lisa Curcio.  I've changed up some of the colors and the Designer Series Paper pattern.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Recipe:
Garden Green - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Cajun Craze - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4" x 4"
Cajun Craze - 4 1/8" x 2 7/8"
Very Vanilla - 4" x 2 3/4" - plus some scraps for cup sleeves
Wood Textures Designer Series Paper - 4" x 3/4"
Crushed Curry Baker's Twine - 34"

To make the cups and sleeves, place the Wood Grain paper across the bottom of the Very Vanilla piece and use a pencil to mark the top of the Wood Grain paper.

Stamp the small cup image three times across the top and centered over the pencil line.  Stamp another cup on a piece of Very Vanilla scrap cardstock.  Snip out the area around the words then use that piece as a template and trace it three times onto scrap Very Vanilla.  These will be the new sleeves around the cups.

Stamp the small berry outline on one of the traced pieces, the outline leaf on another and the fern leaves on the third.  Using the solid berry stamp and the solid fern stamp with Cajun Craze and the solid leaf stamp with Crushed Curry.   Cut them out just inside your pencil lines and attach them to your cups.

Assemble the rest of the card as shown.

Using Early Espresso, I stamped more of the leaf outline across the bottom inside as if the leaves are rolling along.  I stamped the solid image alternately with Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Saturday!

  1. I like this! I have the basic coffee bundle but I have not had any time to play with it. I have been making a ton of cards for soldiers, first responders for the hurricanes, animal rescuers etc. I would like to get this Merry Cafe set as it looks like it would be fun to play with. I like the idea of them sitting on the wood table! Anyway, fun card and love the inside as well. I gotta remember to order some of that yummy looking crushed curry twine and I need some solid black too. I will have to come back to your cards once I get that set. Local card club is Tues. maybe I will order it then!

    1. I love to hear that you are making cards for soldiers, first responders and animal rescuers. Good for you! It is always enjoyable to make those kinds of thank yous and support cards.

I bet the first responders would like coffee themed cards! That must keep them going when the days get long.
