A Jar of Christmas Cheer

A quick little treat holder for Mom and Sister.  These came together very quickly actually and I think they will love them.

Recipe:

Jar of Love - Stamped with Garden Green (stamp and cut 2 for each treat)
Everyday Jars Framelits
Merry Cafe for Sentiment

Ribbon for tying (see supply list below).

Attach the tops of the jars together with Liquid Multipurpose Glue, Tear & Tape or Fast Fuse.  You want them to stay together night and tight.

To make the box to hold the Lindor Truffle, cut a piece of cardstock 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" and then score at 3/4" on all four sides.  Snip four of the corners as shown below.

Fold the corners in and attach with Liquid Multipurpose Glue, Fast Fuse or tear and tape.

Then attach the bottoms by adding adhesive to the very bottom of the jar and attach to two sides of the box.

Thank you for looking in today!  We're off delivering Christmas Cheer!

  1. Not only yummy but cute! I think I am done making cards as I have all mine out but a couple that needs a little letter with it etc. Of course, now I am wanting to make some of these as they are just too cute. Plus I have everything to make them which is a big plus! I have been eating my fair share of those candies as they are just so yummy and fun.

    1. Wow, I thought I replied to you on here and it looks like I missed it.

My Mom-in-law and Sis-in-law loved them. I wish I'd made them sooner and made more for Mom to take to her church group. Maybe I'll make more for Valentine's and do them early enough!

Thank you for always taking the time to comment. I greatly appreciate it!

  2. Valentines would be so much fun and someone makes heart shaped chocolates - Dove? That would be so much fun to do and you could use pinks and reds as well for colors. I have the old set of conversational hearts that would look fun in the jars. A competitor brought them out with their jar stamp and they had a little video on coloring with their Copics so I can copy a bit with the blends or watercolor pencils for the paler pastel look. They looked so fun to color. Plus, you have time to make these for Valentine's Day!

    1. Great idea! I remember those little hearts. They were so much fun.

Going to have to get working on this. Maybe it would be a good project for our January workshop!!
