Framed Tropical Chic

When I saw this card on Tuesday, I fell in love with it immediately.  The layers really caught my eye.  I think I'm going to make more in other colors.  I think it will be pretty with so many of them.

I'm CASEing this from Jodi Geers at Polka Dot Stamper.  She was featured on Angie Leach's Too Cool Stamping.

Recipe:
Granny Apple Green (above) - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" (2 - one inside / one outside)
Granny Apple Green - 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Whisper White - 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"

Whisper White Scrap - for stamping and die cutting flower

I made two versions.  In person I like both, they look great.  In the picture below, the Lemon Lime Twist (on the left as you look at it) looks really washed out.

Stamps:  Tropical Chic
Ink:  Real Red, Memento Black
Dies:  Tropical Thinlits

Look how nice the popped up Whisper White looks.  Even my hubby commented on the "shadow box" look.

Thank you for looking in today!  We're half way through the week!

  1. I like these. I think I like the Granny Apple Green color better. I bet the Old Olive and the Mossy Meadow would be pretty too. Fun!

    1. Definitely the Granny Apple Green in the picture, but in person, the Lemon Lime Twist is very pretty too!
