I've Named her Elle

Love You Lots has to be one of my all time favorite Hostess Sets!  Every single stamp in the set is adorable and can be used for so many cards and projects!  You can only get this set as a Hostess Set with $13.00 of your Stampin' Rewards with purchases over $150.  You can earn Stampin' Rewards in several ways.  Contact me for more information.  It's easier than you think!

The Sweet Sugarplum cards below (small white polka dots) is a total CASE from Sandi MacIver.  I saw it in my email when I got home from work and just knew I was going to make it!

Also made was one with another paper from the same Designer Series Stack Playful Palettes, but as I glued the picture (on Whisper White) I realized the background was Very Vanilla.  oops!  Still cute though!  Love those dots!

Recipe:

Base:  Basic Black 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Card Front:  Playful Palette Designer Paper Stack 5 1/4" x 4"
Art Piece:  Whisper White 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Mat for Art Piece:  Basic Black 3 5/8" x 2 5/8"
Inside:  Whisper White 5 1/4" x 4"
Flower: – Sweet Sugarplum (scrap of paper)

I stamped the little elephant (Elle) and her friend in StazOn Black before using my Aqua Painter and ink from the lid of the Smoky Slate ink pad to add a bit of gray where the sketch has shadow lines.  (Sandi used her Stampin' Marker, but it looked too dark on mine so I used my painter instead).

I also painted from the lid of the Pear Pizzazz for grass under the two images.

The little flower is cut with the Botanical Builder framelits from a scrap of Sweet Sugarplum which matches the Designer Paper.  On the "very vanilla" card, I used Peekaboo Peach for the flower.

There is a small rhinestone in the center of the flower.

Thank you for looking in today!  So happy it is FRIDAY.  Enjoy your weekend!  ~ Donna

  1. Too cute! I love Elle's little flower behind her ear! Our internet has been down a couple of days so I am working backwards. Fun cards.

  2. The flower really brings the color out in this card!

I would probably go crazy if my internet went out that long! Shows how addicted we are!
