Jolly Moose

When you have an adorable moose like the one in the Jolly Friends set, you can't help but make a Merry Christmoose card!  Of course, it was time to pull out the Labeler Alphabet again and make the words just right!

When you use the Labeler Alphabet, remember to plan ahead, have plenty of room to do what you want and be prepared before you begin.

So I started over, measured how much space I would need and made a mark on my paper to know where to start my letters.  I ended up making eight of them with random spacing.  That's the really nice part of this alphabet, you don't have to be perfect.

Card Recipe:

Crumb Cake - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White for stamping sentiment
Real Red - scraps for hat
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for hat trim.
Soft Suede for stamping the moose and for coloring the moose with sponge daubers
and yes... you have to fussy cut the moose.  Cut out the antlers first - trust me on this.

When I cut the words into strips, I used a post-it note to hold it when I got down to the last strip.  It also made me realize that perhaps I should use a light pencil line to make it just a tad straighter!

  1. Look at the big guy's cheeks all aglow from the cold! That hat is the best to keep his head toasty warm! Maybe he needs matching leg warmers (another blast from the past!) Anyway, this is really cute and the alphabet you used is perfect!
