Fifty Plus Thank You's

Last weekend I finished the 50 (plus) thank you cards for Brittney to send out to those who participated in her Mom's Memorial Service.  They came out very nice, if I do say so myself.  A lot of steps, but worth it for Brittney.

Recipe:
Wisteria Wonder - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Watercolor Paper - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White (inside) 5 1/4" x 4"

I stamped the Large Rose from Rose Wonder with a nice juicy Versamark ink pad onto the Watercolor paper and then immediately sprinkled white embossing powder over it, tapped off the excess and sealed it with the Heat Gun.  Always remember to use your Embossing Buddy so you don't have powder sticking where  you don't want it to be.

Then I used my Aqua Brush and ink from inside the lid of each color ink pad to watercolor the flower and the leaves.  No two cards look alike with this technique because the ink will go on differently every time.  Just be fussy with it, no need to worry about them all being the same.

Someone shared this poem with me when I was searching for just the right thing to go inside.  This really covers it all.  I figured out the spacing and typed it up on my computer with four to a page, so it really wasn't too hard.

Thank you for looking in today.  Sorry this is posting so late.  I just didn't have it in me to post this at midnight.

Happy Friday!

  1. Oh Donna, this is beautiful! Not only is the flower gorgeous I love the inside poem. It is a keeper. Brittney will love these and hopefully will make for a good memory for her at such a sad time. Well done my friend!
