Pocket Full of Posies

Do you ever think something is smaller than you thought and then, when you put it together, you find it is much bigger than you thought?  It is kind of like picking out a Christmas Tree in the forest (the kind you cut yourself) in the forest, it looks small, at your house you find it is taller than the house, let alone your living room!

Well, that's what happened with these daisies.  Now, I hear you saying, "But they fit on the card." and you would be right, they do fit. They are a little big for the pocket, but that's okay.  What they really do is block my Embossing Paste Wall that I wanted to show off.  Sigh.

So, when you pull the two flowers out of the pocket, you see a greeting and when it is out all the way, you can see the brick wall behind.

 There's the pretty wall!

Recipe:
Island Indigo - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Daffodil Delight - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5" x 3 3/4"

Pocket - Island Indigo - stamped and cut with the Pocket Die - fold in the flaps and attache with Tear and Tape.
Sentiment "Pocket" - Whisper White - Cut just outside the dotted stitching so it will  fit inside the pocket.

Gold Faceted Gems inside the Daisies
Daisy Punch (sadly on backorder again!)

  1. I had to laugh as I couldn't figure out the puzzle until you mentioned the Christmas tree - duh, been there and done that. Then, I paid more attention to the pocket and the flowers. That is really cute with the attached sentiment. Then, you can see more of that cool brick wall done with the embossing paste stuff! Well done.

    1. I was going to reference National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on the tree, but I was already wordier than I wanted to be.

You've made my day though by expressing that you READ my blog. I know a co-worker that only looks at the pictures, then asks me how I did something. LOL I tease her all the time.

I really like the paste stuff. I'm going to try it with some ink in it next time. Give it some color.
