USA Daisies

Have you ever noticed that inspiration can hit at any time and any location?  The other night I was dropping off an order to a customer.  Her front porch and driveway are always decorated to the hilt with the upcoming holiday or season.  At this time of year it was patriotic with the 4th of July Holiday coming up early next week.

One of the things that jumped out at me was a great patriotic tin daisy that was in the flowerbed.  I thought... HEY, I can use our new Daisy Punch with our Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White.

So, here is my card.

Recipe:
Night of Navy - 11" x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Real Red - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5" x 3 3/4"
Stamps:  Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Now, before you go searching, there is no "USA" in the stamp set, but there is a "U", and "S", and an "A" mixed it the sentiments in the stamps.

So using my retired Washi Tape, I covered the letters I didn't want using the "U" from "It's Your Day", inking it up, removing the washi tape and stamping it on the card.  Then I did the same with the "S" from "Make a Wish" and the "A" in the same stamp.

See those little rhinestones... they are perfect for covering up little smudges.  (You should see my fingers, oh what a mess!)

Thank you for looking in today again.  It's so nice to have you here!

Please keep everyone affected by the summer fires burning across the southwest.  There is one in particular near several small towns in Arizona.  Several communities have been evacuated, some with very little time to gather things together.  This photo is from the Goodwin Fire.

Officials on June 27, 2017, ordered more mandatory evacuations for several areas near the Goodwin Fire, burning 14 miles south of Prescott and south of the community of Mayer.(Photo: Arizona Department of Transportation)

Sunshine in my Pocket (s)

The plan was to set this up to post at midnight, like normal, but after coming home from our weSTAMP Team Meeting last night, I spent time with Moki, who was actually nibbling on some treats!  Yayyyyy!  I didn't want to get up from where I sat and spook her away, so this is coming to you a little late.

Additional news, she ate her normal amount this morning at breakfast, so I am so thankful for answered prayer.  I just keep thanking God for her having an appetite and actually eating again.

Now... on to the card that I shared as my swap last night.  The really FUNNY thing is, our Make and Take provided by Lorri was so similar that we had to laugh.  Her card was done a bit differently (I'll post it tomorrow as I don't have a copy of it on here at the moment).  Great minds!

Is this CUTE or what???  I saw it on Pinterest, but couldn't for the life of me find out who made it.  Sure there were lots of pocket cards on there, but this one was distinct with legs being cut out to look like real jeans!

The back pocket is just stamped on instead of being a real pocket like on the front.  The back pocket would be the perfect place to put your "made by" stamp!

Recipe:
Dapper Denim - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4".  Then just cut a small wedge out of the folded side at the bottom.
Basic Black - 8 1/2" x 1/2"
Daffodil Delight - scraps for glasses
Real Red - for little tag
Stamps:  Pocket Full of Sunshine
Rhinestones for the grommets.

Thank you for looking in today.  Sorry this is late, but had to enjoy Moki eating last night.  Pray she keeps eating.  I think she's getting back to being herself, thankfully!

Happy Tuesday!

This Little Piggy... 3 x 3's

You had to know that "This Little Piggy" would be this month's thank you's for the June workshop.  I debated on several versions, but decided sweet and simple was best.  Although, this little piggy almost showed up in a mud puddle!

Recipe:
Daffodil Delight - 6" x 3", scored and folded at 3"
Whisper White - 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
1/2" Circle Punch for the Sun
Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil (sun rays)
Powder Pink - Piggy

Look, it's a Cha-Cha Line!  LOL

This little Piggy says Thanks for looking in today!  It's Monday, again.

Tranquil Thoughts

How pretty are these tulips using the colors from the Delightful Daisy DSP?  Calypso Coral is one of the colors, but I also added Blushing Bride for the smaller flowers.

Recipe:
Whisper White - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4" x 4
Whisper White 3 3/4" x 2 3/"

Ink:
Calypso Coral (stamped off once for lighter color of big tulip)
Blushing Bride (also stamped off once)
Garden Green
Memento Black

Stamps -
Tranquil Tulips (hostess set)
Daisy Delight

Would you please send some prayers my way again?  We've got another kitty who is having issues.  Thankfully all her bloodwork is fine, but she just won't eat and we don't know why.  Her name is Moki and she's just a little thing too, just turned 9 years old.  Check out the Sass in this face!  LOL  She has beautiful green eyes.  The picture doesn't do them justice.  She's very flighty and nearly impossible to catch, so we're just at her mercy right now.

I believe in the power of prayer and I can't imagine God would give us these sweet babies to take care of and then let them be sick and lose them.  Thank you!  God bless!

Thank you for looking in today.   Have a Blessed Sunday!

Daisy Delight is Restocked!

This bundle was so popular, it sold out with just the Demonstrator's ordering it during our Pre-Order period.  The punch was actually what sold out, but they made the bundle unavailable because most people would want it as a bundle.

There are so many great things to be made with this set.

If you would like to order this right away - simply click on the picture below.  It should take you directly to my store to shop for this set.  If not, you can click HERE.

Here are just a few of the things I've made so far with this fun set.

Thank you for looking in today!  Have a great weekend!

Another Retirement

I'm beginning to feel like I'm being deserted at the office.  We have another person retiring this week and this card is for her.

Recipe:
Perfect Plum - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Tangerine Tango - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5" x 3 3/4"

Stamps:
Tranquil Tulips
Milestone Moments

Ink:  Perfect Plum and Lemon Lime Twist
Thinlits: Happy Birthday

I stamped the large part of the tulips with Perfect Plum (stamped off once, then stamped on Whisper White), then stamped the smaller part of the tulip with full inked Perfect Plum.

The leaves and stems are Lemon Lime Twist.

I used "congrats" from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits.

After I finished it, I decided to try one of the cute In Color Bitty Bows with it.  What do you think, bow or no bow?  The bow I used was Fresh Fig... close enough.

Thank you for looking in today.  The weekend is almost here!  Yayyy!

Tranquil Tulips Birthday

Can you believe it?  No Piggy today.  Hard to believe I know, but I've been wanting to play with these beautiful tulips.  Tulips are one of my favorite flowers.  So colorful!

If you love these tulips too, they can be yours when you host a party or have sales totalling $150 or more, you can purchase this set for $10.00.  Quite a bargain, don't you think?  If you think you'd like to purchase some stamps on your own over a period of  30 days, I can give you a hostess code and you can place an order for a full 30 days and then select your hostess products at the end.  Want some friends to help you earn your rewards, just give them your hostess code and you'll reach that goal even quicker!

Recipe:

Rose Red - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Lemon Lime Twist - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5" x 3 3/4"

Stamps:
Tranquil Tulips
Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Ink:  Rose Red and Lemon Lime Twist
Thinlits: Happy Birthday

I stamped the large part of the tulips with Rose Red (stamped off once, then stamped on Whisper White), then stamped the smaller part of the tulip with full inked Rose Red.

The leaves and stems are Lemon Lime Twist.

The "Happy" was cut off from "Birthday"... yes, I cut them apart!    So now I can use it separately and do the same to the Happy Birthday Thinlit and cut those words apart as well.

Inside I stamped another sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous with Rose Red.  I think I'll be making more of these.  So pretty and look at all the colors we have to use for variety!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Happy Hump Day!

Coffee with Friends

Brace yourself for more Caffeinated Piggys.  This is a CASE from the Papered Chef.  Isn't that a clever name?  Like Pampered Chef, but with Paper!  There are several changes to my card, but the basic idea came from ... well, it just occured to me I don't know her name, only the name of her blog.

I just love it.  So stinkin' cute!

Recipe:
Early Espresso - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Coffee Break Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4" x 4" (coffee beans)
Pear Pizzazz - 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Coffee Break DSP - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" (blue zig zag)
Powder Pink - for the Piggys
Coffee Break DSP - fussy cut coffee pot and coffee cups
Whisper White for Sentiment - stamped with Early Espresso and Garden Green

Remember to prevent wasting this great Coffee Break DSP cut out the middle (that will be hidden behind another layer) so you can use it elsewhere.

Notice the piggy with the cup, I made a little cut where the mouth is so he / she could hold the coffee cup for easier pouring for the angel pig.

Inside I stamped some coffee beans to give a little border along the bottom.

It's going to be a HOT HOT week in Phoenix, and really, in all of Arizona.  I'm not looking forward to this week.  We hit 120 in Phoenix in 1990 and believe me I remember that day well!  I worked for the State at the time and didn't have covered parking. At the County, where I work now, thankfully we at least have a parking garage.  Still not looking forward to it!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Monday!

Soft Sky - 5 1/4" x 4"

Coffee Break Designer Series Paper - punched with Banner Triple Punch
also cut out little cups and coffee maker.
3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon - Crumb Cake

A Special Pretty Kitty

Today I want to share a card that I made for our Veterinarian and Staff... mostly staff actually since we saw them three times a week for the last month and a half.  Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Suzi as she had stopped eating and drinking.  It was time.

I chose this Pretty Kitty in the pot, because frankly I love coloring that pot with my Chameleon Pens... and Suzi always like hiding in boxes, bags, bowls, etc., so this was perfect.

Recipe:
Very Vanilla - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Crumb Cake - 5 1/4" x 4"
Coffee Break DSP - 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" (I think...) it's sealed up in an envelope to go to the Dr. tomorrow so I can't measure it now.
Crumb Cake 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon

Inside stamp - One Big Meaning

Thank you for looking in today and especially thank you for all of you that lifted us up in prayer as we were able to spend an additional month and a half with Suzi.  We we very happy she didn't really indicate that she didn't feel good until this week on Wednesday.

Blessings

Delightful Daisy Thank You

This card idea comes from Rochelle Blok who is a gal in one of the Demonstrator Planning groups I'm in.  I changed up a few things, but the concept of the single daisy was just too good to pass up.

It is so simple but just shouts out "look at me!", don't you think?

Recipe:
Whisper White - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Soft Suede - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4"

Stamps - Delightful Daisy
Ink - Smoky Slate (daisy)
Soft Suede (sentiment)
Old Olive (stem)

Linen Thread

So easy and so powerful.

Thank you for looking in today!  It's finally Friday!

Soft Sayings Card Kit

Summer is upon us which for some means vacations and travel.  Just because you go on vacation, doesn't mean you have to go without your stamping or crafting fun!

This Soft Sayings All Inclusive Card Kit is a great little kit to take with you on the go.  It comes in a perfectly sized box that holds everything you need to put these cards together.  The only thing  you will need to add would be some Liquid Glue and some Glue Dots.  They also will fit inside the box.

If you are reading this in an email, you will need to go to my blog for today's post and see the video.  Please take a moment to watch.  It is a great video and has a couple of tips that will make stamping easier in those difficult spots.

I'm sharing this with you today so I can work on preparing my projects for this weekend's workshop.  I always love the first workshop of the new catalog!  It is going to be a lot of fun!

Let me know what you think of this kit.  I'd love to hear back from you!

Happy Friday-Eve (aka Thursday!)

Thank you for looking in today!

Little Piggy Loves Daisys

... and this Little Piggy Loves you!

I've been seeing others color their little piggy's with little spots - birthmarks or mud - you decide!  So tonight I had to give the spotted pig a try.  Isn't she adorable?

Recipe:
Night of Navy - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Daffodil Delight - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Whisper White - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Delightful Daisies - 5 1/8" x 2"

Inside:  Whisper White 5 1/4" x 4"

I stamped the Piggy onto Whisper White and then used my Watercolor Pencils and a Blending Pen to move the color around.  No need for watercolor paper when you use the Blending Pen.  I used Calypso Coral, Early Espresso and Old Olive for coloring.

The circle and scallop were cut using the Layering Circles Framelits.

Thank you for looking in today!  It's Wednesday - the week is almost half way over!

Have a great day!

Check This Out!

Check out this cool discovery I made!  The Coffee Break DSP (Designer Series Paper) works with one of the Coffee Cup Framelits!  Is that awesome?!

So, with that knowledge, I present to you today's card!

Coffee Cup Spinner Card:
Pear Pizzazz - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Coffee Break DSP - 5 1/4" x 4"
Early Espresso - scallop circle

To make the "spinner" die cut two of the cups and using a piece of Metallic Thread.  I used Gold because that's what I had available, but you can use Silver, Copper or Gold.  I don't recommend the Black, unless your background is black.

Using double stick Tear and Tape or your Fast Fuse, place adhesive on the insides of both small cups, then place a piece of the Metallic Thread on one of the cups then line up the other cup over the first one.  Be sure to PULL THE THREAD TIGHT.

Die cut a circle big enough for your cup into the front of the card then take your cut DSP and place it on the outside (do not attach).  Carefully turn it over and trace where you will cut the same size hole in the DSP.

To make a scallop for the outside, I used Early Espresso and cut another circle the same size, then choosing a larger scallop, place it over the cut circle and cut out the scallop.  I used Layering Circles Framelits for all of the circles and scallops.

Now, taking your two cups place it over the circle on the FRONT of the card.  I used a strong tape to hold down the Metallic String so it would hold firm.  Again, be sure to PULL THE THREAD TIGHT.

Line up the DSP over the hole onto the Pear Pizzazz and adhere it down with your favorite adhesive.  If you don't already know, my favorite adhesive for holding paper together is our Tombo Multi-purpose Adhesive.

Now, because I believe in sharing my mistakes, so you don't do them too, here is what I did inside and I shouldn't have...  can you tell me why I shouldn't have?

Can you see it...?

I bet you see it now...  the inside stamp shows through the spinner hole!  Ugh!  SO, next time, and there will be a next time because this is too fun not to do again, I'll be sure not to stamp where you can see it through the hole in the card.

Thank you for looking in today!  Have a happy Tuesday!
