Gift of Love

Here is another beautiful Hostess set that you're going to love.  Today I'm using them as Sympathy Cards with the addition of sentiments from Rose Wonder.

This is a two-step (actually 3 step) set.  Stamp the outline first with Memento Black and then add the color for the leaves and another color for the flowers.

I also added some clear Wink of Stella for some nice sparkle.

To make the card with two flower sprigs, I first stamped onto a thin piece of copy paper and cut out a mask.  Then I stamped the one on the right, then covered it with the mask and stamped the 2nd one.

In looking through some old files today, I wanted to share a card from a couple of years ago made from Work of Art.  Amazing how looking back a couple of years makes you realize how much my style and creativity have changed. 

Just pretend it is a very strong wind blowing this flag out of whack.  Then it looks pretty good.

Base:  Night of Navy or Real Red - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"

Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4"

I Am Grateful

With Memorial Day this weekend, I wanted to make something special for the day.  This is my version of a card I saw by Kim Jolley.  There are several other versions on facebook and various blogs.

I really love the way this makes the "flag" wave.  I may work on other renditions this weekend.  But I'm pretty happy with this one.

The stars are punched using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (retiring), but they were the perfect size and are still current... at least until May 31st.

It looks even prettier from the side, don't you think?

I am so grateful for the Men and Women who have served our great country, including my Father who served in World War II.

God bless all of our Military and their Families who worry about them each day and especially this weekend, for all of those families and friends who are missing their loved ones.

This is a perfect way for me to show you the new 2016 - 2018 In Colors again.  I stamped the spool in each of the colors - Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum.

Card base - Flirty Flamingo - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Dapper Denim - 5" x 3 3/4"

I wrapped the Sentiment Banner with White Baker's Twine and added some Blushing Bride Sequin's from the Blushing Bride Sequin Trim.

Inside I stamped the little cross-stitched heart from the Love You Sew stamp set.
