Split Trick Card

This was a fun technique we did during our Zoom Team Meeting on Monday.  A very quick and fun way to stamp for two cards at the same time!

Start with a piece of Whisper White or Very Vanilla 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Measure across the 8 1/2" side and make a little pencil mark at 4 1/4" on the top and the bottom so that you know the halfway part of the paper.

Begin stamping with the largest stamp - I'm using Beautiful Friendship - and stamp near the center.  It doesn't have to be perfect, just near the center.  I stamped an extra onto a post-it note and trimmed it to be a mask for stamping the other flowers.

When you've finished stamping and you like what you have, cut the paper in half at 4 1/4".  Then trim down each half to be 4" x 5 1/4".

Add them to your base card of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"  Add a sentiment and some pearls colored with Stampin' Blends and you've got two great cards!

Stamps:  Beautiful Friendship
Ink:  Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green

Beautiful Anniversary

Several Anniversaries this month that require something pretty, so I made a few of these to have on hand.  I'm really tickled with how they turned out and they were really very quick to do.

Recipe:

Mango Melody - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Grapefruit Grove - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 3/4" x 5"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (inside panel)

On the smaller Whisper White, I began by stamping the flowers from Beautiful Friendship.  I used Blushing Bride for the small roses, Mango Melody for the large flowers on the top, Calypso Coral for the centers and the fern looking flowers.  The leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow.  The center was left open for the sentiments.

The sentiments came from Beautiful Bouquet and were stamped on Whisper White using Mossy Meadow ink, then punched out with the Story Label Punch.  I punched additional pieces out of Mossy Meadow to place behind the sentiments to help them pop out a bit.

What do you think of these colors together?

Thank you for looking in today!  It may be Monday, but it's a holiday from work which means lunch with the girls!

Happy 18th Birthday Meghan

On Tuesday, the sweet young lady that we have grown so close to at our favorite pizza place, Venezia's on Tatum, will be turning 18.  So of course I had to make her a special card.

I pulled out the Beautiful You set - which is perfect as she's going to a Military Ball soon and I thought a card with a dancing happy girl was perfect!

Inside I used the sentiment from Beautiful Friendship and then added the "18th" using Make a Difference stamp set.

Beautiful Friendship

Time to restock my thank you cards.  I made a bunch of these tonight and I'm really happy with how they came out.  Three cheers for my Stamp-a-ratus!  Made everything so easy to put together.  I started with Melon Mambo and then Highland Heather.  The leaves were stamped by hand randomly with Granny Apple Green.

Look at the envelope!  I really like the added color to the envelope.  Who says you have to have pretty Designer Series Paper to dress it up a bit.  Just stamp and go!

Recipe:
Highland Heather - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (cut two - one for inside)

Stamps: Beautiful Friendship and Love What You Do
Inks: Highland Heather, Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Memento Black

Heavenly Birthday

Today my Mother would be celebrating her 95th Birthday!  Oh how I wish she was here so we could celebrate it together.  I miss her so much.

Mom loved roses and I just know she would have loved this one.  Although I've probably posted this one before, and it's not a Birthday Card... it's a Thank You card, to my Sweet Mom for the life I had with her and Dad.  I'm so very thankful they were able to adopt me from the day I was born and gave me a life filled with love and wonderful memories.

I love you Mom!  Happy Heavenly Birthday!

Retirement Wishes

At work, we're very fortunate to have a Walgreens Pharmacy as well as an on duty nurse that takes care of all of our aches, pains and illnesses.  She's rescue me a couple of times with a rash and antibiotics when needed.  But this week I learned she's retiring (as of yesterday, Friday) so of course I had to make her a pretty card.  I was lucky enough to give it to her in person.

Recipe:
Blushing Bride - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper - 2" x 5 1/2"
Soft Sea Foam - 3 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 3" x 3 3/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (inside panel)

Stamps:  Beautiful Friendship
Inks:  Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam, Daffodil Delight
Punch:  Story Label
Trim:  3/16" Braided Linen Trim
