Bloom With Hope
This was a fast and easy card with Hostess Set - Bloom With Hope.
Since our Blendabilities are no longer available, it was time to bring out the Aqua Painter and Ink Pads.
Start by stamping on Watercolor Paper with StazOn Black Ink, then I colored the blooms with Daffodil Delight and So Saffron and the stems with Wild Wasabi.
The DSP is from Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper and the Ribbon from Sale-a-Bration - Best Year Ever Accessory Pack.
Don't forget, Sale-a-Bration ends on March 31, 2015 - don't miss out if there is anything in the catalog you've wanted!
The Occasions Catalog is good until June 2nd, so plenty of time to order from there, but why not order today and qualify for something FREE before Sale-a-Bration ends?
Thanks for stopping in today!

Remember the bunny announcing "it's a girl!"? Well, here is the "boy" version. To see the first edition, check HERE.
I just love this darling bunny. Although, I'm working on a project now that's requiring cutting this little darlin' out, so I may feel differently when I'm finished fussy cutting - LOL!

DSP 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

Striped Scallops
A few weeks ago we were visiting my in-laws and I spotted this beautiful shirt in one of the catalogs they receive. I instantly loved the colors and they immediately made me think of our Stampin' Up! colors.
Over the years I've seen other Demonstrators make a card using colors they had seen in catalogs or advertisements, so I decided I would do that with this one.
This is what I came up with:
Using So Saffron for the base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 5 1/4") then using the Striped Scallop Thinlits Die (133734) I cut a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock. I also used scraps of Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow to cut out pieces to go inside the scallops.
I finished it off with a sentiment from Hostess Set - Bloom with Hope, stamped with Chocolate Chip ink, also onto a piece of scrap card stock - Crisp Cantaloupe. Don't you just love using up those scraps?! I tied a piece of Wild Wasabi Cotton Twine from the Painted Blooms collection from the 2015 Occasions Catalog.

Thanks For Being You
When I saw this stamp set as one of the Sale-a-Bration freebies, I could hardly wait to get it and color it with my Blendabilities, but then, they were discontinued! Argh!! So, I had to figure out a better way to fill in the letters.
Yes, I could color them with my Aqua Pens or our Stampin' Write markers, but I wanted something else and ended up spotting this idea from Angie Leach and loved it! Thanks Angie for the great idea!
There's some fussy cutting involved, but that was great therapy for me this week when I was making them. It was perfect timing!
On this first card I didn't put a mat under the DSP and I wished that I had, so the rest of them I added a bit of color and another mat.
Measurements:
Base - Whisper White 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
Mat - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
DSP - 5 1/4" x 4"
Mat - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Whisper White - 5" x 3 3/4"
I have a story to go with this one. Don't you just love the dots on this? I do, so much, but I had to convince myself to cut the DSP to use the dots. Why you ask?
THIS is why, the back side of the beautiful dots is the gorgeous 12 x 12 flowers that just kill me to cut into pieces! SO, when I (ack!) cut the THANKS out and cut the DSP rectangles, I couldn't turn the paper over. It was just too painful!
Sigh... but, I think it was worth it, don't you?

Sale-a-bration Coloring Videos
Three Sale-a-bration Coloring Videos
With the recent announcement that Blendabilities Markers have been discontinued, Stampin' Up! has released three new videos featuring a variety of other awesome coloring options! Learn how you can add color with Stampin' Write Markers, Sponges, Aqua Painters & Blender Pens to achieve some amazing effects on your projects.
1. Coloring on Sale-a-Bration Vellum
2. Watercoloring with Aqua Painters
3. Coloring with Blender Pens and Ink Pads
My understanding is that Stampin' Up! hopes to find something to replace the Blendabilities Markers, hopefully in the near future.
I am still using mine and sharing them with you because I know some of you have invested in them and still want to be able to use them to their fullest. So please know you will still see them on my blog, but if you don't have them to use, there are other ways to color and have beautiful results with products that we do still carry.
Thank you for looking in today. Wishes for a great week ahead!

Best Day Ever Bunny
I have found my next new love! Happy Easter Bunny - Minus the Easter (for now). When I first spotted this stamp in the 2015 Occasions Catalog, I fell in love with the bunny, but mostly just the bunny. Don't get me wrong, I like the whole stamp, but the bunny is what I really wanted.
So... (don't panic please) ... I cut the bunny OUT of the stamp! EEEKKKK! I know, I heard you all shriek there. But it's okay, because I have two Happy Easter Bunny stamps. Does that make it a little better? ha ha! The little eggs and sentiment were saved as well and are set apart so I can ink up just what I want, depending on the project. Pictures at the bottom...
Here is the first card I made with my single bunny. Isn't he (or she) just adorable? There are so many cute things to do with it. My boss, Karen, loves one of my other cards that has the Best. Day. Ever. with Cheerful Critters. If you missed it, you can see it HERE.
I stamped the bunny first on a post-it note and fussy cut it out to make a mask. Then I stamped bunny on the card and then put the post-it mask over it so I could stamp the flowers around. The flowers are from Painted Petals using Wild Wasabi and Calypso Coral.
The "clouds" in the sky are also flowers from Painted Petals stamped with Soft Sky.
If you have a weak stomach when it comes to altering your stamps, you might not want to see the next two pictures. *wink* You've been warned...
So, will you give it a try? If you need another Happy Easter Bunny, you can find it at my store! Just click any of the pictures below from the "My Stampin Blog" links. IF you are reading this in an email, you will need to go to my blog to see the pictures.
Happy Sunday!

Love You More Than Chocolate
One of our newest Photopolymer stamp sets is Lovely Amazing You and it was love at first sight when I saw the "love you more than chocolate" stamp! I knew there was a perfect use for this one and could hardly wait to use it!
I want to show you how something as simple as a little bow made out of Thick Baker's Twine can make the card completely different.
Here is the card I made and when I was ready to photograph it and post it, I realized it was missing something.
So, I added this little bit of Strawberry Slush and I couldn't believe how much difference it made. What do you think?
Recipe:
Pistachio Pudding Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4" - I used this "minty" color for a chocolate / mint candy look
Chocolate Chip: 5" x 3 3/4"
Irresistibly Yours 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Chocolate Chip (chocolate bar): 2 1/2" x 2 1/4"
Chocolate Chip (chocolate bits): 1" squares cut in half
Sponge the edges of all the chocolate pieces with Chocolate Chip ink
Sponge over the Irresistibly Yours with Chocolate Chip, fading it as you go up.
Stamp the sentiment with (wait for it) ... Chocolate Chip Ink on Whisper White card stock
Die cut the sentiment with the Circles Framelits - the fifth one up from the smallest
Punch a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch
Pop up the circles with Stampin' Dimensionals
I'll bet you have someone special in mind to give this sentiment to. I know I do and it will be going there very soon!
Thank you for looking in today! Happy Saturday!

More Painted Petal Blooms
I wanted to share a couple more thank you cards using Painted Petals. These cards are the standard card size of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" instead of the 3" x 3" I posted earlier this week. You can see that post HERE. Do you notice anything familiar in one of the cards?
The one on the right, with the green "thank you" is one that was left over from the small 3 x 3's I just attached it to a full sized card.
There's no such thing as having too many thank you cards. I like to keep them around for so many reasons. Let's bring back the tradition of actually sending a proper thank you when someone does something nice.
I also decorated the envelopes and the flaps of the envelopes to make them pretty as well.
Here they are with some of the mini thank you's. I just love these colors together. So pretty!
Well, it's Friday and I'm very thankful for another weekend! Looking forward to enjoying some quiet time stamping. What are your plans for the weekend?
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog. I'd love to hear from you, could you take a minute and just say "hello"?
Happy Friday!

From the Belated Herd
Isn't this just the greatest stamp from the 2015 Occasions Catalog? This is the first time I've colored it, and yes, I colored it with my Blendabilities which are no longer available, but I needed something quick and this was what I had in my heart to do.
This cute stamp could also be colored on our Watercolor Paper with our Aqua Painters and ink pads or with our Blender Pens and ink pads on our regular card stock.
There was a birthday missed yesterday and I've been wanting to use this "it's pasture birthday..." for a while and this was the perfect time! I just love it!
Inside I added some balloons since the sentiment is a bit smallish. Still plenty of room for people to sign and leave a little greeting.
I popped up the outside sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals and since it's for a lady, I added a pretty bow to make it pretty.
Thank you for looking in today! I hope you have a great Thursday!

Pacific Point Painted Blooms
Hopefully you all survived St. Patrick's Day yesterday without too many pinches for not wearing green! You know, stampers have no excuse for being "greenless". Before walking out the door, dab a little green ink behind each ear and you're good to go! Right?
Ok, maybe not, but it was a thought. ha ha!
So, today's cards have a little green to them, but mostly Pacific Point. The DSP that goes with this card will be showcased tomorrow when I share some other cards made with this set and DSP.
Today just the small version which will go out in the packages from Saturday's workshop.
There are more to be made, but this is as far as I got for tonight (i.e. I create and post the night before you see this, so as I type, this is actually Tuesday night.).
I added a little Pear Pizzazz ribbon, even though the ink used is Wild Wasabi - you'll see, it will be in the DSP tomorrow!
(Just click on any of the items below to go to my store. If you are reading this in an email, go to my blog to see the store links.)
