Blendabilities and Peaceful Petals

First, let me say, Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's, Grandma's and Mom's and Grandma's to be.  Be sure to give your Mom a phone call if you can't be with her and if she's in Heaven with My Mom, I'm sure they're looking down and sending their love.

Now, on to stamping!

After some coloring time with friends on Saturday, I found this left behind by Brittney.  I think she's hooked on our Blendabilities!  So, as I was putting things away and found this and decided it needed to be placed on a card.  I think it came out beautifully, don't you?

The stamp set is Peaceful Petals from the Occasions Catalog.  It is NOT going to carryover so you'll want to get your hands on it before it's gone (hopefully it's not gone just yet!)

The stamp is actually a single flower.  To stamp multiples as above, you need to make a mask first.  Simply stamp the flower onto a post-it note, being sure to stamp over the sticky part of the post-it.  Cut the image out.  Stamp your flower onto the cardstock you are going to make your bouquet onto and then carefully cover it with the mask - lining it up perfectly.  Then stamp over the post-it flower but to the side (or top or bottom) wherever you want the 2nd image.

Color as desired.  Brittney used my Daffodil Delight and Old Olive sets of Blendabilities.  They will be available starting June 2nd, so be ready to fall in love with coloring again!

For ease of ordering, just click any (current) image below.  Remember the Blendabilities and new In Colors will be available beginning June 2nd.

Thank you for looking in today.

Petal Power

Today's card uses two colors from the soon to be retiring 2012-2014 In Color Collection.  Before we know it, Stampin' Up! will be releasing the next collection of In Colors for the next two years and these beauties will be gone.

Last year, when Stampin' Up! announced the retiring colors, many customers who had purchased ink pads realized they hadn't yet purchased the re-inkers to keep their pads working past retirement.  Some missed out completely because they sold out almost immediately.  Don't miss out on stocking up on the retiring In Color supplies.  See my chart and details below today's card.

Stamps Well With Others Recipe for this card:
Stamps:  Flower Shop (w-130939 / c-130942), Petite Petals (w-133152 / c-133155), Peaceful Petals (w-133104 / c-133107)
Card Stock:  Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals
Large Pearl Basic Jewels (125577)

This year, don't miss out on the retiring colors before they sell out.   If you purchased any of the 2012-2014 Collection (Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit) now would be the perfect time to purchase a re-inker to keep your ink pad fresh and stamping.

With Sale-a-Bration ending on Monday, March 31st, now would be the perfect time to stock up on these items before they sell out and while you can use the purchase of them to earn one more free Sale-a-Bration item.

Below you will find a suggested bundle that comes to $53.45 before tax and shipping.  That means you would qualify for your Sale-a-Bration FREEBIE!

Simply click on the items below and add them to your cart.  The links will take you to my store.

The items shown are simply a suggestion and not an official Bundle from Stampin' Up, just something that will help you stock up on retiring colors and earn a SAB Freebie.  Five re-inkers and five packs of card stock adds up to $49.50 and since you need a full $50.00 (before tax and shipping) to earn a Sale-a-Bration item, I added a pack of Stampin' Dimensionals for $3.95.  You could add In Color Dahlias (127556) instead for $7.95 or the In Color Boutique Details (130938) for $8.95 to stay in the "In Color" theme.

As an added bonus, if you place any $50.00 order between now and Monday's deadline, you will receive an additional gift directly from me.  Just a little thank you from me to you.

Peaceful Petals Popping Through

I spotted this card a while ago, done by Cindy B. and just knew I had to play with it.  I love the way the flower pops out of the punched hole and since it is water colored, it is even more fun.  Coloring is just so relaxing to me and with the water color paper it is ever changing.  No two are ever the same!

So simple and so pretty at the same time.

I began by stamping flowers from Peaceful Petals onto watercolor paper with Black StazOn ink.  Then coloring them in with my Aqua Painter and various inks by painting from the lid of the ink pad.  Then enjoyed some t.v. with the hubby while cutting them out (I stamped and colored several to make more cards).

The card begins with Baked Brown Sugar card stock and then stamped the front with the Woodgrain background stamp from the annual catalog (pg. 5).

The next layer is Very Vanilla - cut at 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" and punched with 1 3/4" Round Punch and then I arranged the flowers in and around the opening.

Using Sassy Salutations, I stamped "Feel Better" on the front with Calypso Coral which matches the color of the flower on this particular card.  This is such a fun stamp set and can be used on so many cards.

I hope you like this card as much as I did when I first spotted it.  I plan to make more using different colors of card stock.  I think it will be really pretty with the variety.

Thank you for looking in and have a great day!
