Peace on Earth

As I typed the title for this post, I stopped and thought.  Then, it hit me.  Peace. On. Earth.  We always think of this at Christmas, but think about it.  Think about what the world is going through these days and Peace on Earth takes on an entire different meaning.

We have wildfires and hurricanes wiping out homes and lives.  We have terrorists and threats of wars and fighting and we have issues within our own country (the United States) with racial issues, immigration issues and more ugliness than can be mentioned.

We need Peace on Earth.  We need to pray for Peace on Earth.  We need to pray for each other.

So, with that said (along with a prayer) let us get on to the card I'm sharing today.

This card was one of the cards from our August Swap cards.  This was made by Tami Twitchell and I think it is really pretty.  I have to admit, with Phoenix, Arizona temperatures still hovering around 100 degrees, it is really hard to think about making Christmas Cards, but Christmas will be here before we know it!

I love the inside of this card how she's "marbled" the cardstock with the Marbled Background Stamp.  This stamp doesn't look like much in the catalog, but add some color to it and it is beautiful!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday and remember to.... Pray for Peace on Earth.

Sudsy Birthday

** Suzi update at the bottom of this post... **

I think this was one of the first stamp sets I used last year when the current (almost retired) catalog.  As a matter of fact, HERE it is from June 11, 2016.

So today, here's another one using this set as well as Stylized Birthday.  Both sets are carrying over so there will be more chances to use them even more.

Recipe:
Chocolate Chip - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
So Saffron - 5 1/4" x 4" - Embossed with Softly Falling
Chocolate Chip - 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
So Saffron - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Very Vanilla - 4 3/8" x 3 1/8"

I added Clear Wink of Stella to one and Gold Wink of Stella to the other.  I like the Clear best.  Probably why the Gold retired and isn't carrying over to the next year.  That's fine with me.

The beer mugs are stamped with Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla and then just the top of the mugs with the foam I stamped with Crushed Curry.  Then fussy cut them all out and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thank you for looking in today.

So, the vet called this morning and said that Suzi's numbers are still high, but that they haven't really changed at all, maybe went 1 higher on each.  He called just as I was walking out to lunch and I had people waiting on the street for me, so I did the best I could.

Since her numbers didn't improve we know she still has the renal failure issue in her future, but for now, he's given us some pain meds for us to give her every 12 hours.  The plan is to hope she can get some relief from the sore mouth and at least feel like eating better.  She did seem to eat better and a bit more tonight, so I'm hopeful.

I've decided, that I've worried myself sick over this for the last three weeks, nearly four, and until she shows a sign of an issue, as in vomiting or hiding out all day, I'm going to just enjoy every day and be positive and enjoy our time.

Keep those prayers going, we're going to need them.
