P.S. You're The Best

This is my fearless leader, Lorri Heiling's swap card from our team meeting this week.  Isn't it cute?  The stamp set is P.S. You're The Best on page 48 of the annual catalog.

The "file folder" is make using the Envelope Punch Board and a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  The typewriter is stamped onto Basic Black with either VersaMark or Craft White and sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

Can you see the score lines at the fold?  I should have taken a better picture, but there are two extra score lines to make it look like a real file folder that can be folded along another score line to hold more stuff.

Inside she stamped again with stamps from the same set.

Great Job Lorri.  I may have to give in and get this stamp set after all!  So many possibilities with this one.

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Hump Day.

Sending Love

Before we get to today's card, just a quick reminder that today is the last day for the Holiday Mini Catalog and the brand new 2015 Occasions Mini begins on January 6th.  If you are reading this in your email, you can see the catalog on my blog over in the right hand column if you didn't receive a copy yet.

In addition to the Occasions catalog, this year Stampin' Up! is also beginning the Sale-a-bration event on the same day!!  This means you can earn free products beginning tomorrow as well.  With every $50.00 purchase (before tax and shipping) you can choose a free Sale-a-bration item from the Sale-a-bration brochure.  You can also see this catalog on my blog in the right hand column.

Now on to the card!  Valentine's Day will here before we know it so I wanted to get started on my creations.  While I'm waiting for my pre-order of Valentine's products, I thought I would work with what I have on hand.

I began with making a small envelope using our Envelope Punch Board and made the 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" envelope - following the measurements and directions on the board, the envelope was done in a snap!  I tied a bit of Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon around it and attached it to my Whisper White mat.

For today's sentiment I had to combine two stamps from two stamp sets.  I got the "sending" from Perfect Pennants and "love" from Something to Say.  I inked the words with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker from the Brights Collection.  You can also order Real Red separately (100052)

Meaurements:

Whisper White - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
Real Red - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" - embossed with Fancy Fan Embossing Folder

I attached the envelope with Stampin' Dimensionals and added punched Real Red hearts using the heart punch from Itty Bitty Punch Pack.

Thank you for looking in today!  Get your wish lists ready for tomorrow!

Happy Monday and back to the normalcy of a regular work week.

Punch Board Snowman

Isn't he just adorable??  I found him on You Tube by Jackie Topa.  Thank you Jackie - great project!!  He looked a little small when I first saw him, but when I started to put him together, I found out he was much bigger than first imagined!

I've put together a pictorial tutorial on how to make this little guy.  I've changed him up a little bit and put in one of those great chocolate bars that we see the kids selling as fund raisers every year.  Funny how they are the same price, but about half the size!  Still long, but now very thin (about half)  Probably just as well, since they are so tasty!

Begin with a piece of paper 11" x 2 1/8" - you can actually use a full 8 1/2" x 11" sheet and then score it all at once and then cut to make 4 cuts for 4 snowmen.

Click on any of the pictures to make them larger.

So then, lets see what you put together for this great little guy!  You can find everything you need (except for the candy, of course) on my website.

You can find everything you need to make this card on my website HERE.  If I can help you with anything, please let me know.  You can email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com.

Envelope Punch Board (and so much more!)

Stampin' Up! has a great new toy, I mean... tool for us to play with, drats... use.  (tee hee).  This great little tool can make up to 66 different sized envelopes, quick and easy!  Beyond that though, there are some wonderful Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are amazingly creative and have figured out how to do so much more than envelopes.

The one I'm showing today is a File Folder Card made from the Envelope Punch Board.  I learned the details from Patty Bennett where she has a wonderful video on how to use the Punch Board to make file folders.  I'm working on making a picture tutorial that I will share as soon as I complete it.  For a great video though, check out Patty's blog.

Until then, check out the cute card I made using the Envelope Punch Board:  I love it!  It's so much fun to use and I see me making even more of them for all occasions.
