Highland Heather Essence

Three of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors are used on these cards.  Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody.

Recipe:

• Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
• Highland Heather - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
• Whisper White - 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
• Whisper White scraps for stamping popped up flower, leaves and sentiment.

Stamps: Floral Essence
Inks:  Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody

• Randomly stamp the outline flower with Highland Heather, then using a sponge dauber, lightly color in lightly towards the center of the flowers.
• Randomly stamp the outline leaves in between the flowers, but don't color them in.  
• Stamp the center of the flowers with Mango Melody.
• Stamp the solid flower with Highland Heather and fussy cut with paper snips.
• Stamp the solid leaves with Granny Apple Green - punch with Leaf Punch ** a little tidbit here, the Leaf Punch isn't mentioned on the page with the stamps.  The bundle is a different punch for punching out the 3 petal flower.**

I can see this being fun and beautiful with other colors as well.  Which colors would you choose?

Over the Moon Party

These little cows may have partied too hard!  Look at them making a Cow Tower!  This card is made so easily with a little masking and a your Stamparatus.

Recipe:
Sahara Sand - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Lovely Lipstick - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 3/4" x 5"

Before you begin, stamp each of the two bottom cows onto the top edge of a post-it note (one for each note) and then fussy cut right at the line to form a mask.  Stamping them at the top of the note allows you to use the stickiness of the post-it (you'll notice mine has washi tape holding it down because I didn't stamp it high enough).

Here is the process.  Place the Whisper White into the corner of the Stamparatus and hold it down with one of the magnets as shown.  Decide where you want the stamp to sit by placing it onto the paper.  Be sure to start low enough that all three will fit.  Close the plate over the stamp to pick it up, ink it and stamp it right where you wanted it.

Use the post-it mask you made before starting and place it over the first cow.

Place the 2nd cow over the post it so you can decide where you want it to be without worrying about it being in the wrong place.

Ta-da!  Perfect placement.

Repeat the post-it placement with the 2nd post-it.

Place cow #3, ink and stamp!

And there they are!  Ready to color and then emboss with the Subtle Embossing folder.  I made one without the embossing and believe me, it looks so much nicer WITH the embossing step.

I colored with Stampin' Blends - Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive and Petal Pink.

June 2019 Swap Cards

Sorry Kids, this girl is dragging so I'm sharing two more cards from our Team Swaps from June.

The card that Sandi made included a couple of greetings to choose from so we could attach that to the upper left corner.  I love the soft look of leather this card has.  I wish you could see it in person!

This pretty card using the Free as a Bird stamps.  Easy stamping and just some light coloring and you've got a beautiful card to share!

Celebrate the Small Notes

The Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack makes beautiful cards in a flash!  This particular card is a note card size and the Sun / Sailboat cutout is 3" x 4" with no trimming.

Don't you just wish you were on that boat just floating around with the wind?  Especially when I think back to June 26, 1990... the temperature in Phoenix was 122 degrees!  Can you believe that... I can, I was here and it was HOT HOT HOT!
