Varied Vases - Going Soon

This set, Varied Vases, was designed by Mary Fish as her $1,000,000 sales achievement.  I'm really sorry to see it going away so soon.  It hasn't been used nearly enough.  Same is true for Vibrant Vases which is also retiring.  The good thing however, is that the punch, Vases Builder, that goes with it is NOT retiring, so you can still punch pretty vases and flowers.

On Friday, I watched Ronda Wade do a live workshop and this is one that she made.  I made two different sizes on the die cut.

Recipe:  
Mango Melody - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Mango Melody - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White - die cut with Stitched So Sweetly rectangles (I used the 2nd and 3rd down from the largest)
Whisper White scraps for stamping the vase - punched with Vases Builder 
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" - inside panel

Stamps: Varied Vases
Ink: Mango Melody, Memento Black, Granny Apple Green (stem)
Ribbon: Polka Dot Tulle (NOT RETIRING!) 
Dies: Stitched So Sweetly

Mixing Old and New

Time is almost up for this beauiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, so I'm trying to get the most out of it that I can.  Yes, I did some fussy cutting, no stamping of flowers here.  The only stamping was the "just because" from an upcoming set called Lovely You.  I was so excited to see a "just because" stamp that I didn't even look at the rest of the set before putting it in my shopping cart!

The cards and envelopes are retiring as well, so grab them quick (if they are still available!)  These are the Gold Foil-Edged Cards and Envelopes.

The delicate flowers in this set - Grace's Garden - ae so easy to color and really make for a nice easy card.

Ink: Smoky Slate (for stamping the flowers)
Memento Black for the gate, kitty, bird and the sentiment.

Another Good Man

I have to admit, I forgot I had a little sampler of this paper with the golf balls and golf tees.  I just don't know any golfers, so I honestly don't think about using it.  I do like the brightness of the colors though so thought it would be a good time to use it before it retires.

Father's Day Approaches

Father's Day will be here before we know it, so I'm planning ahead!  Dig out your stamps and get those Papa's cards made.

Remember to decorate the envelope too!

I stamped the hat a 2nd time onto Crumb Cake and fussy cut it out and popped it up with a mini-dimensional.  The shirt is stamped onto the same DSP used for the background and fussy cut out and attached to the main stamp.  Skin colored with Ivory Stampin' Blends and the shorts with Real Red Stampin' Blends.

My Day of Service Cards

On Tuesday I posted about Shelli Gardner from Stampin' Up! and the Day of Service she had planned for Thursday.  Below are a few of the cards that I actually made. 

The instructions for cutting the DSP are in the picture below.  It could be used with any paper and any plans you have for making multiple cards quickly.  Just add sentiments.

The base card is currently in the clearance rack for $6.00 - 147901 and are the Gold Foil-Edged Cards and Envelopes.  You could also use the Silver or simply cut your own card bases, based on the colors in your chosen DSP.

Fun Fold or No Fun Fold

There's not much left of my Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, so I'm trying to use it all up.  I love it so much, but I know there are some pretty new papers to look forward to very soon!

So I've made two versions with this one.  One with a "fun fold" aspect.  See the "hello friend" flap, that's the fun part!

Here it is opened up.

Recipe:
Blackberry Bliss - 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Peaceful Poppies DSP - 4" x 5 1/4
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (inside panel)
Whisper White -  1 3/4" x 2 1/4"

Stamps:  Simply the Best
Ink:  Blackberry Bliss

Blackberry Bliss - 1 7/8" x 3 1/4" 
Score on the right side and fold under.

Attach to the Blackberry Bliss base so that the scored line is on the edge:

Attach the Whisper White (4" x 5 1/4") over the flap:

The "No Fun Fold" version simply attaches the sentiment to the top with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Instead of scoring, the Blackberry Bliss is trimmed on all four sides.

You Always Deliver

On Thursday my UPS driver is supposed to arrive with a box of gold for me!  Well, to me it's like gold, it will be my Stampin' Up! Catalogs!  I haven't even received my single issue yet, watch it come tomorrow in the mail!  Some people have theirs, some do not and I'm getting so anxious!

In the past I've made chocolate chip cookies for my driver and he's always loved them.  I figured during this Covid 19 stuff, he wouldn't want homemade anything.  BUT, I made a banana nut loaf mix and after I started prepping, I realized it had walnuts in it and Mark is allergic to walnuts.  So, I've wrapped it up and will see if my driver wants it.  If not, at least it's out of my house and I won't be tempted to eat the entire thing.  I won't be offended if he tosses it, just get the calories away from me!  LOL

So, this stamp set was at the top of my WISH list when I first got last years catalog, but I just FINALLY got it in April because it is going away and I couldn't let it get away from me.  It will be one of my keepers.

Black Berry Bliss - 3 7/8" x 4 3/4" (apx. cut with layering rectangles)
