Valentine's Day - Gift Card Holder

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it!  Are you ready for a cute card that holds a gift inside?

Recipe:

Country Bouquet Stamp Set

Mossy Meadow – 4 ¼” x 11”, scored and folded at 5 ½” and 4”

Country Floral Lane DSP – 1 3/8” x 4 1/8” (side strip)

DSP Front Panel Sweet Sorbet Hearts pattern – 3 7/8” x 4 1/8”

Petal Pink Mat – 3 ½” x 3 ½”

Basic White – 3 ¼” x 3 ¼”

Scrap of Petal Pink for Sentiment – punch with heart punch

Inside:

Petal Pink Mat – 4 1/8” x 3 7/8”

Basic White – 4” x 3 ¾”

DSP – 2” x 3 ¾” for gift card pocket – remember ONLY glue three edges so the gift can slip in.

  • Attach the small DSP strip to the outside left hand area.  BEFORE you glue the side panel where the ribbon goes, wrap the Burlap Ribbon around the front and tape it inside the “card”.
  • THEN glue the side panel together.
  • Tie the Red Ribbon around the Burlap Ribbon.
  • Using your Stamp-a-ratus – stamp the flowers in Sweet Sorbet and the leaves in Mossy Meadow.
  • Stamp sentiment onto Petal Pink heart
  • Punch hearts from DSP (or you can stamp them with stamp set – then punch) and attach to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Attach Petal Pink heart on top of all.
  • Attach mat onto front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Inside – attach DSP strip to the left side panel.  Be sure to ONLY put glue on the sides and bottom so that the gift card or cash will slide in from the top.
  • Stamp inside sentiment and attach to inside of card.

Time to start those sweet Valentine's cards!

Hey Love Sneak Peek

In just a few days (January 3rd to be exact), you will be able to start making purchases in the 2019 Occasions Catalog and earn FREE stamps from the Sale-a-bration Catalog.

If you are a regular customer of mine, you should have already received your Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs.  If you don't have a Demonstrator and would like to purchase Stampin' Up! products, I'll be happy to send you a copy of each. Simply email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com and I will get them in the mail to you.

Thankfully there are no real "card events" in January, so on to February and St. Valentine's Day we go!

Here is a sneak peek at one of the cute Valentine sets that will be available beginning January 3rd.  This is Hey Love and it will be a great set for the Littles in your life.

Here are a couple of treats I made to show off an easy way to use them.

One Week Left...

Did you wait too long to make a Valentine's Day Card?  Well, worry no longer, you can make this little card in just a few minutes and still have time to mail it!  OR, if you don't have these stamps yet, you can order them today and receive them in a couple of days, make the card and deliver it in person to your favorite Valentines.

Recipe:

Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 11" x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Real Red - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5" x  3 3/4"

Stamps:

Watercolor Words (hearts and love)
Sunshine Sayings (sending)

Pop up the Real Red layer with Stampin' Dimensionals and remember to decorate the envelope!

The nice thing with this card is that it doesn't have to be a Valentine's Card. It can simply be a card to send a little extra love to anyone, for any reason.  We all need a little extra love in our lives, don't you think?

My Team Swap Card

This is the card I was so excited to share earlier this week.  It has been killing me to have to wait until today!

Today was our weSTAMP Team Regional Meeting where our Amazing Upline, Lorri Heiling, plans several make and takes for us to do.  These meetings are always so much fun and I'll be sharing some of the things we made over the next few days.

We also had a group Card / or 3D swap and everyone who attends votes on their favorite.  This was my card, or rather, card front as that is all we need to make for these.  Some girls do whole cards.  Today I just did the front.

I began with Whisper White base 5 1/2" x 4 1/4", then a layer of Real Red 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" which I ran through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder.

I added a lace doily the layered on a Basic Black Circle punched with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and a Whisper White 1 3/4" Circle Punch.

The rose is Rose Red, punched using the Bird Builder Punch - Bird Wing x 3 and the Branch x 2 is Garden Green.  After attaching the branch as shown, I trimmed off the one under the top one so there is just one "stem".

I added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the roses to give them some shine.

The "Silverware" comes from Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies.  The framelits go perfectly in a bundle with A Nice Cuppa photopolymer stamp set.

I really LOVE how this came together.  Sadly, mine didn't win the vote this month, but that's okay, I am still very happy with it!

Thank you for looking in today.  I hope you have a Blessed Sunday!

Love is in the Air

This looks like it is complicated, but really it wasn't so bad and the outcome is worth a few minutes to make this beautiful card.

I began by die cutting the heart from the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die in Crumb Cake and Garden Green.  I then cut out the little extra flowers from the die set in Pink Pirouette.  I snipped some of the leaves from the Garden Green and glued them over the Crumb Cake where they fit in and I attached the Pink Pirouette flowers over the flowers on the  Crumb Cake.

A little tip... make sure you have the flowers lined up before you add the glue.  They look like they fit more than one way, so lay the pink on cut out first and then pick it up and add glue to the Crumb Cake.

Recipe:
Crumb Cake 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Garden Green 5" x 3 7/8"
Rose Red 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"

The sentiment is from Bloomin' Love which comes as a bundle with Bloomin' Heart Thinlits.  You always save 15% when you purchase the bundle, so be sure to look for them in all of our catalogs!

Add some Rhinestones for bling on the flowers and you have a beautiful card ready to send.  I think this one will be an Anniversary card.

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Tuesday - remember to check out the Weekly Deals!
