Team Swap - Spring 2017

Monday Night was our monthly Team Meeting so I thought I would show you my swap card for our swaps.  The theme was Spring or Easter.  I'll be sure to share the others with you as well as the week goes on.

My bunny was made with Layering Ovals and Stitched Shapes and a 1/2" circle punch.

The eyes, whiskers and mouth were drawn in with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

Layering Ovals:
Head - the Largest Oval - Whisper White
Ear - 2 3/4" long Oval - Whisper White
Inside Ear - 2 1/4" long Oval - Pink Pirouette DSP Stack
Scallop - Smallest scallop Oval - Pink Pirouette

Stitched Shapes- smallest - Whisper White - cut first - stamp after - Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Nose  - 1/2" Circle Punch - Pink Pirouette DSP Stack

Ribbon - 1/8" Stitched Ribbon - Melon Mambo

Pear Pizzazz - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Wisteria Wonder - 5 1/4" x 4"

Attach the bunny head first then trim off the excess before attaching it to the Pear Pizzazz.

Disco Bunny

I hope you aren't tired of my favorite bunny yet!  Especially not before you see this one!  This has to be my absolute favorite by far!

I saw the idea on Pinterest, by Michelle Zindorf, but made a few changes to make it mine.  Enjoy!

Recipe:

• Base - Basic Black - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
• Smoky Slate 5 1/4" x 4"
• DSP - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
• Whisper White 5 1/4" x 2 3/4"
• Basic Black - 4" x 2 5/8" - punch across the top with Confetti Stars Border Punch - then stamp with Whisper White Craft ink or you could use Silver Metallic Encore Ink using the small speckle from Gorgeous Grunge
• Crumb Cake - 2 5/8" x 1 1/8" - stamp with Soft Suede (or your favorite color) using Hardwood background stamp
• Silver Glimmer - 2 5/8' x 1 1/8" - to go behind the stars
• Silver Glimmer - punch with 1" Circle Punch

REMEMBER:  Do the Gorgeous Grunge stamping before you attach the "glimmer ball" (speaking from experience here... lol)

Attach the Glimmer piece behind the stars.  I used scotch tape to hold it in place so it wouldn't wiggle.  Use a 2" piece of 1/8" Silver Ribbon and glue dots to attach the ribbon to the back of the card and Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the "glimmer ball" to the front.

The hardest part of this card (especially in multiples like I did for our weSTAMP Team Swap!) is cutting out the bunny!  There were a couple of arm and ear amputations... :(  I felt terrible!

The colors on the bunny were Pink Pirouette on his tummy and Crisp Canteloupe for is bow.  I added a Calypso Coral pom-pom from the Occasions Catalog - YES - THIS CATALOG IS GOOD UNTIL JUNE 2nd - only the small Sale-a-bration flyer/catalog is no longer active.

Happy Easter Bunny

Did you score big during Sale-a-bration and get all the freebies you wanted? I sure hope so!  I know I did and more!  So much fun - I think Sale-a-bration is the best sales time of the year!

April is here and Easter is this weekend.  I simply can't believe it.  I'm fairly sure we just celebrated Christmas!

Here are some Easter Cards I made for my boss to send to her Daughter, Grandchildren and a friend.  I'm really happy with how they turned out - notice the entire bunny stamp is here?  Yup, I didn't cut the bunny out for a couple of these. 

They were so easy to color with our Stampin' Write Markers.  I simply outlined the vines with Pear Pizzazz and carefully colored in the eggs with the fine point tip of the Markers.

The ribbon and DSP are from Sale-a-Bration.  If you have it, use it!  I love it!!

 

Ooops - Bunny is on his own again!  I just LOVE this bunny!!

I just love this darling bunny.  Although, I'm working on a project now that's requiring cutting this little darlin' out, so I may feel differently when I'm finished fussy cutting - LOL!

It's a Girl!

Best Day Ever Bunny

I have found my next new love!  Happy Easter Bunny - Minus the Easter (for now).  When I first spotted this stamp in the 2015 Occasions Catalog, I fell in love with the bunny, but mostly just the bunny.  Don't get me wrong, I like the whole stamp, but the bunny is what I really wanted.

So... (don't panic please) ... I cut the bunny OUT of the stamp!  EEEKKKK!  I know, I heard you all shriek there.  But it's okay, because I have two Happy Easter Bunny stamps.  Does that make it a little better?  ha ha!  The little eggs and sentiment were saved as well and are set apart so I can ink up just what I want, depending on the project.  Pictures at the bottom...

Here is the first card I made with my single bunny.  Isn't he (or she) just adorable?  There are so many cute things to do with it.  My boss, Karen, loves one of my other cards that has the Best. Day. Ever. with Cheerful Critters.  If you missed it, you can see it HERE.

I stamped the bunny first on a post-it note and fussy cut it out to make a mask.  Then I stamped bunny on the card and then put the post-it mask over it so I could stamp the flowers around.  The flowers are from Painted Petals using Wild Wasabi and Calypso Coral.

The "clouds" in the sky are also flowers from Painted Petals stamped with Soft Sky.

If you have a weak stomach when it comes to altering your stamps, you might not want to see the next two pictures.  *wink*  You've been warned...
