On A Pedestal

I really like how this turned out.  This was made with "On A Pedestal" stamp set, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Whisper White cardstock and Island Oasis Designer Paper (only available through the end of August, so hurry and order some before it's too late!).  I used Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie ink for stamping and Daffodil Delight for the candles.  The ribbon is 1/8" Pumpkin Pie taffeta.

Thanks for peeking in.  Have a great week!

Happy Birthday Jean!

This is for a co-worker of mine who loves her coffee... LOL.  The coffee bean bag was a project I learned from my upline leader Rebecca.  It was so much fun to make at her house, that I had to make one tonight for Jean.  I added a coffee cup to this one using my Cricut.  Inside is a Starbucks Card (of course!).

The card is made using paint samples from the hardware store.  Stamping with Whisper White and using a clear emboss powder.  I think she'll really like it.

A Little Sympathy

The father of a friend of ours passed away this week and the services are on Monday, so I sat down to make a nice simple sympathy card.  I like how it turned out.

Finally - some RAIN!

Seems there's been rain all around us, but none at our house since spring, today, Mother Nature made up for it and we had over an inch of rain in less than an hour according to our rain gauge.  We were at lunch at Islands Restaurant near Paradise Valley Mall when it started so we decided to come home to see if we were getting drenched here and sure enough we were.  Here's some pictures of the drive.

You'll see dry road and then a line where the downpour starts.  The rain was coming off the mountains so quickly the roads flooded in just minutes.

At first we thought this might be a funnel cloud starting but when we pulled over to take a look, it wasn't swirling, just a cloud that was heavy with rain I suppose.

I Want My Mummy...

Ok, I know practically everyone makes these adorable Halloween cuties with their Top Note Die, but I just had to try my hand at this one.  He came out soooo adorable!  I used Crumb Cake ink to sponge the edges.  He's attached to a Sizzix box with handles.  That was interesting to put together since the instructions have gone missing, but I managed to figure it out (yay for the brain today!)

Thanks for looking!

Another Use for the Ornament Punch

I saw this the other day and just had to lift it.  Who would have ever thought an Ornament Punch (119847)could be a vase!!!  The ornament was punched out of Whisper White cs and trimmed across the bottom to make it a vase.  The stampset used is Eastern Blooms (111626).  I stamped the flowers in the vase with the Whisper White Craft Ink and then added SU Clear Emboss and set it with the heat gun.  The cardstock is Pretty in Pink and Perfect Plum.

Ok, this adorable bear isn't SU, he's from Penny Black, one of my all time favorites for cute critters, but I couldn't resist posting him!  The paper base is WhisperWhite cs and the "happy birthday" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) and punched with the Large Oval (119855) and the Extra Large Scallop Oval (119856).

Isn't he just adorable???

Thank you for stopping by.

Donna
