Catching Up on Posting Some Cards

This card uses the Bright Blossoms stamp set from the Summer Smooches promotion.  I really love these colors together.  Melon Mambo and Pacific Point.

With this week being Administrative Assistant's Day (week) Linda made two cards for the occasion.  This one she gave to Jean - isn't it gorgeous!!!??? and the one below she gave to me.  I think they both came out beautifully.   The above card uses the Twitterpated DSP - I'm going to hate to see that go, it's just so pretty and of course the one below uses Summer Smooches which will be available again in the new catalog in June.

This adorable card idea comes from Maria Sanchez - her card can be found on Splitcoast Stampers here.  The Owl Punch is used for the "overalls" and then snipped to look like shorts.  The clouds were formed with the Cupcake Punch.  Brittney made this one for a baby shower she's going to this weekend.  I think it's one of the cutest cards I've seen in a long time!

Hope you're having a great weekend!

While Supplies Last...

The release of a new Stampin’ Up! Catalog is always an exciting time for stampers. This year, the catalog will be  released a month early and I'm so excited to see it!  However, whenever we get a new catalog, we have to say goodbye to the old one.

It's time to say goodbye to stamps and accessories that will be retiring but the good news is some of them are available at discounted prices.  Be sure to check out the retiring stamp sets and accessories now - so you don’t miss out on your retiring favorites! All the stamp sets on the list are going away on May 31st.

All accessories are available only while supplies last. Order online to avoid disappointment.

UPDATE: I just talked to Demonstrator Support and was told that the Paper Snips and Craft Scissors were incorrectly included on the Retired Accessories List. These 2 items will NOT be retired.

2nd UPDATE: Just wanted everyone to know that the Summer Smooches FABRIC BRADS are sold out - darn, I loved those!

WARNING:  These lists are long! All ink pads are on the Retiring Accessories List because the pads are being reconfigured. Also, look for the * sign, this means that the item is being reconfigured. Finally, read about the Stampin Write Marker, the craft pad, and the 12x12 cardstock changes below.

Per Stampn' Up:
"Get them before they are gone! The retired accessories and Definitely Decorative (including Décor Elements) lists are now available and won't stay around for long--these items are only available while supplies last!

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed. This is for two reasons: (1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white; and (2) we are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.

The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.
In addition, please note the following about the new catalog:

  • Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
  • 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered
  • 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections"
The Occasions Mini Catalog will end this month and the current Idea Book & Catalog will retire at the end of May instead of the end of June! If you are one of the many stampers with items still on your wish list, now is the time to place your order.

Happy Shopping and please let me know if you need any assistance with ordering.  I know there are a few things on the list that I want before they go away.

Creative Saturday

Had a great creative day with Brittney today.  It seems like it's been ages since we've had unlimited Saturday Crafting Time!  I still need to make another birthday card for someone special but for now, here's what was created today.

This first card is for a little guy who celebrates half-birthdays and loves cars!  I searched on Splitcoast and found this cute car idea.  I want to add a rhinestone to the front for headlights and color one red to put on the back for brake lights.  I just realized I hadn't done that yet.  Sorry!  :)

The car is made from the Modern Label Punch (119849), Large Oval (119855), 1/2" Circle, and the circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309).

The balloons are from Patterned Party (w-123065 / c-123067) and the sentiment from On Your Birthday (111664 - wood only - and Retiring the end of May).  I love this stamp set - it is one of the ones I'm really going to miss on the Retirement Cards.

I hand cut the grass from Garden Green and sponged the clouds with Bashful Blue.  I hope Aiden likes it!

This one is for his big sister who will be graduating from 8th grade in May.  Her school colors (if I got it right) should be navy and gold, so I chose Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight.  I couldn't find anything to make the Mortar Board with, so I hand drew it.  Kind of pleased how it came out actually.

Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Basic Black.
Stampset:  Curly Cute (w-117014 / c-120510)
Tools:  Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die (118138) and Scallop Edge Border Punch (118402), Perfect Polka Dots (117335) Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen (105021).

This card was made by Brittney.  It's a remodel of one of the Stamp-a-Stacks we did recently.  She changed the white base card to Sahara Sand and added More Mustard striped paper from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.

I also realized that I never posted the card that we made at our last workshop.  It is posted on my facebook page (StampsWellWithOthers) but missed being posted here.  I CASEd this card from Dawn Olchefske.  Isn't it beautiful?

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Concord Crush
Ink:  Concord Crush, Old Olive
Tools:  Simply Scored (122334) and the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate (125586)
Stamps:  Bright Blossoms (w-125495 / c-125497) and Delightful Dozen (w-122650 / c-122652).

Thank you for looking in.  Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Fun Day Making Cards

I had a great time on Sunday making cards and I wanted to share them with you here.  Yes, I know it's nearly Thursday, but that's just how my weeknights have been!  haha!

This card is my very favorite.  I actually got the idea from several locations but when I went to do mine, I discovered I cut it "wrong" for the way I had seen on the samples.  BUT, it seems I like my way better in the end as I only had to decorate one side.  The others I saw had to decorate both sides of the cut.

Recipe for the above card:
Cardstock:  Pretty in Pink, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Water Color Paper
DSP:  Flirtatious Specialty
Ribbon:  Pink Pirouette 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon
Stamps:  Apothecary Art (w-125525 / c-125527); On Your Birthday (111664 - wood only and retiring May 31st)
Stampin' Write / Ink:  Wisteria Wonder, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight
DSP:  Big Top Birthday
Stamp Set:  Bring on the Cake (w-121899 / c-121958)

The above card was leftover from a Stamp-a-Stack which came in extra handy when I needed a fast card.  This stamp set is another one that will be retiring the end of May.  I have to admit it's one of my favotires and I'll be sad to see it go.

Lastly a very retired stamp set "King of the Grill" but one of my favorite go-to sets for the BBQing men in my life.  Who doesn't have the need to make a card for when Dad is doing his best to keep the grill under control?  Gotta Love It!

The Retiring Stamps List is HERE!!

Dates:  April 15-May 31, 2012 (select items available while supplies last)

Details:
Hundreds of stamps and accessories from the 2011-2012 catalogs are retiring, and this is your chance to get them before they're gone. Many products are only available while supplies last, so be sure to get your orders in early!

When you view the retiring stamps list, you may notice it's longer than in years past. During this transition to the new annual catalog, there are a higher number of stamps being refreshed and replaced than usual. While many stamps are going away, most are being replaced so that the breadth of our stamp lines is every bit as broad as ever!

Off I go to mark my book and see how much damage is done to my own inventory!!   Happy Sunday!
