Steamy Mugs and Mittens

This will probably be my last post until we've finished all the election work and long hours at the office.  If I have any extra time to create at all, I'll be sure to post it, but I imagine my spare time will be spent napping and going to bed as early as possible.  Hubby says I look like a raccoon with dark circles around my eyes already.  :(

This is the 2nd card we created this weekend at Kristi's workshop.  Some of the girls even used the spritzer from last year to add a little sparkle.

Cookie Sheet Card

FINALLY... after attending Lorri Heiling's Holiday Extravaganza a couple of weekends ago, our stamping group was finally able to have Kristi's workshop and make this adorable card.

I made a couple of changes to the original and I really like the results.  I tried to make the mitten punch as a hot mitt for the cookie sheet but just didn't like any of the versions I came up with.  In talking to hubby last night he asked why does it need a pot holder, and the light bulb went off in my head!  POT HOLDER... I don't need an Oven Mitt, I can make a Pot Holder!  So I did and we did Sunday at our workshop.

Stamp Set - Tiny Tags (w-118091 / c-118592), Scentsational Season (w-121026 / c-121190)
Cardstock  - Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Brushed Silver
DSP - Be of Good Cheer
Ink: Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler
Punches:  Postage Stamp (122344), 1" Square (124094)
Dies: Two Tags Bigz (115954)
Holiday Collection Framelits (127814)
OR Bundle the Scentsational Season Stamps with the Holiday Framelits and save 15% (w-129945 / c-129946)

We also didn't put a red dot over the ends of the cookie sheet because good cookie sheets have holes in the ends... why?... I suppose so you can hang them up!  I dunno!  LOL

Thanks for looking in.

Thanks again to Lorri for this adorable card!!

Pac Man Improved!

I just love the girls in my stamping group.  They always have great ideas to share and then I can share them with you.

When I first made this, I really wasn't working on too much sleep, so it was pretty plain.  After I finished I started thinking of improvements and the girls agreed.  Thanks Berta and Brittney for your input.  I think this is so much better.

The little ghosts now have Googlies for eyes, I just LOVE those things, and we've added some dots and some cherries for munching, not to mention a little more creative path.  I changed up the blue from Night of Navy to Island Indigo to brighten it up a bit.  I also added dimensionals under PacMan and under the greeting which also received a color upgrade to Island Indigo.  See my first version here from Sunday.

So, what do you think??  It was fast and easy to make and even with my allergy eyes and blurry vision from too many hours doing too many work related emails.  Gotta love election time, I do!

Don't forget to vote, only a couple of weeks away!!

Time to shut these not so googlie eyes and get some sleep.

Thanks for looking in!

Pac Man Punch Art

When the Mitten Builder Punch came out with this year's Holiday Catalog a couple of us in our group spotted some non-holiday things to make with this great little punch.

Today I finally took the time to make a card that I haven't seen anyone else make, although I was sure someone would have by now.

This was so easy and fun to make.

Stamps:  A Cherry on Top (Hostess Exclusive)
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy and Whisper White.
Punches:  Mitten Builder (127824), 1 1/4" Circle (119861), Petite Pennants Builder (122361) for Pac Man mouth, Cupcake Builder (121807) for whites of eyes and cherries, Owl Builder (118074) for eye pupils, Word Window (119857) to round the ends of paper strip of 3/8" wide.
Extra:  Dimensionals.

To make the blue strip, I cut a piece of paper 3/8" wide and then just slipped the end into the word window punch to round the edges.

Thanks for looking in.

Ninja Birthday

Linda's nephew is a Ninja fan and is having a birthday this weekend.  So Aunty went searching and found a punch art ninja to make for him.  You can find just about anything on the internet you know!  Linda found this little guy here on Janine Tinklenberg's website.  She even took the time to figure out the pieces here.  How awesome is that??

I have to say, I'm super impressed with Linda putting this together.  I don't think I would have had the patience for all the little pieces this little guy took.  Good Job Linda!!!

Thanks for looking in.  These next few weeks will be crazy busy working for Elections, so no promises on how many posts there will be, but hang in there. Things will get back to normal eventually!!
