Timeless Talk Sings Along

Do you have any music lovers on your list that have a birthday coming up?  If so, this would be the perfect card for them!  This is so easy to do with our Modern Medley DSP and our Timeless Talk stamp set.

Here's the steps to make this cute card.
  • Begin with Very Vanilla cut 4 1/4" x 11 and scored at 5 1/2" - This card has the fold at the top.
  • Basic Black 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Modern Medley DSP (126926) - 5 1/4" x 4"
  • Very Vanilla - 3 3/8" x 2 7/8" (for phonograph and sentiment)
  • Basic Black - 3 1/2" x 3"
Stamp the phonograph in the lower right hand corner of the Very Vanilla then using the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the same set ink it up and stamp the first sentiment close to the "speaker" then without inking up again, stamp a 2nd and then a third time so it fades off the paper.

Pop the small Basic Black up off the music notes with Stampin' Dimensionals (104430) and assemble the remaining pieces with Snail Adhesive (104332).

You can find everything you need to make this card on my website HERE.  If I can help you with anything, please let me know.  You can email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com.

Happy Saturday!  Enjoy some time stamping!

Giggle Greetings Meets Hairballs

I just love this set... as you know I've used it before!  Giggle Greetings meets Hairballs!

Hairballs are so easy to make... easier for you than for the cat, I'm sure and certainly more pleasant.

Take some Linen Thread (104199) and a small Glue Dot (103683) and attach the thread to the glue dot.

Slowly press the thread into the Glue Dot, press in firmly for the best results.

Gently lift the "hairball" off the paper and attach to your card.  You could even make some extra ones and place on the card in other places.

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Stamp Set:  Giggle Greetings (w-131062 / c-131065)
Card Stock:  Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Watercolor Paper (122959)
DSP:  Birthday Basics (130145)
Ink:  Black StazOn, Smoky Slate, Pacific Point, Strawberry Slush (for water coloring)
Ribbon:  Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon
Dimensionals (104430)

I'd love to be your Stampin' Up! Consultant if you don't already have one.  You can order any of the listed items above from my website, or by emailing me (stampswellwithothers@gmail.com) directly for more information or help with ordering.

Thanks for looking in today!

Folded Chevron with Designer Series Papers

My Boss' Granddaughter is having surgery today on her knee, so of course we had to make a card for her. She's supposed to start her Sophomore year in High School and instead, she's going through this.  Poor kid, I know she's scared!  We bought her some books to read too while she's recovering and some of us have signed up to play Words With Friends when she's bored!

I saw this folding technique done by Angie Leach on her blog and just had to try it.  Below is my version.  Thanks Angie!

Here's how to do the folds for this card.
  • You'll need 5 strips of Designer Paper Series cut at 2 1/2" x 1". This paper is from I Am Me (130138).
  • Fold 2 of the strips as shown on items 2 and 4 below and 3 of the strips as shown on 1, 3 and 5.
  • Be sure to use your bone folder for a nice crisp fold.

Attach to card stock cut at 5 3/8" wide.  Be sure the folds are pushed together very tightly or you may have overage.  It really fits best at 5 1/4" but then you wouldn't have room for a border.

If you have any questions on how to do this, please let me know.  I'd love to be able to help you.

Have a great Monday!

~ Donna
