Banner Blast

This is one of the adorable cards we made at our weSTAMP Regional on Saturday.  I love the bright colors and how it all comes together.

One of the girls even stamped up the envelope, something I love to do but often forget to include it.  I was so glad she did it and hopefully I'll start to remember to do so too!

Here's the recipe for this card by my sweet upline, Lorri Heiling.

Card Stock:  Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
DSP:  Watercolor Wonder (132994)
Stamps:  A Dozen Thoughts (w-131056 / c-131059), Banner Blast (w-133551 / c-133554)*

Watercolor Wonder Note Cards

Today I'm excited to share the first of some cards that I made for our weSTAMP Team "Regional Event" we had on Tuesday.  Lorri asked me to do a display board on anything I wanted to from the Occasions Catalog and I chose the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes.

These cards are just so beautiful and take very little time to decorate and share.  The set comes with 4 of each design for a total of 20 cards shown below.  They are made on watercolor paper, so you're all ready to stamp or water color on them.

Here is the first card I made for the display and I've been so anxious to share it.  I stamped it with a stamp from Happy Watercolor (w-133188 / c-133191) using Black StazOn ink.  Anytime you want to use a water color technique, you should always use the StazOn permanent ink.  As a matter of fact, anytime I stamp in black, I use it.

Using my Aqua Painter (103954) and a little ink from the lid of my ink pads, I colored it in with Daffodil Delight and then Tangerine Tango.  The stem was done with Old Olive.  The "thank you" also comes from the same stamp set

Here you can see the size difference from the Standard Card size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") and the Note Card Size (5" x 3 1/2").  Just the perfect size for a quick note or when you don't have a lot to say.

I'll be sharing more of my display cards this week, so pop back in tomorrow to see more!

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!

Stamp-a-Stack of Watercolor

Here's a sneak peek at today's Stamp-a-Stack.  Quick and easy idea I found from Patty Bennett.  Thanks Patty for the great fast and easy cards.

More details to follow.  Since it's now Friday at 12:40 a.m. (posting is usually done earlier and pre-scheduled for midnight) and I'm just now getting this done, I think I'll head to bed and post more about this later.  Actually its very self explanatory and I'll bet you can figure it out.

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

DSP:  Watercolor Wonder (132994)

Baby, They Multiply

There's a Baby Sprinkle this weekend... What's that you say?  Well, I wondered the same thing and then I found out and I think it's adorable!  A friend is having her second baby later this year and since she has the basic baby things so she doesn't need a "full blown baby shower", she just needs a sprinkling of things.  Isn't that cute?

So, here's the card for the party.  In case you couldn't tell, a baby boy is expected.

I just love these adorable bunnies from Baby, We've Grown out of the Occasions Mini.

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Card Stock:  Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Stamps:  Baby, We've Grown (w-133086 / c-133089)
Ink:  Soft Suede, Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake
Embossing Folder:  Sale-a-Brations - Decorative Dots.

Thanks for looking in today.  Have a fabulous Thursday!

Valentine Gold

Thanks to Sandi MacIver for this quick and easy yet totally beautiful card idea!  She used a larger heart in the center and I wanted more room inside for writing, so went with a smaller heart die cut.

Begin with a standard card size of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4".  Cut a piece of the Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (Gold) (133363) 5 1/2" x 3 3/4".  Attach it to the front of your card with Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape (133000).

Place the open card with the vellum onto your Big Shot and cut the center heart out with your size choice from the Hearts Collection Framelits (125599).  Cut out a smaller heart out of Gold Foil Sheets (132622)

Using the Circle Card Thinlits Die and Label Card Thinlits Die cut out the xoxo and the i{heart}u for placing on the card.  I also used the (retired) Expressions Thinlits Die to cut out "love" from the Gold Foil Paper.

So pretty, so fast and so easy!

Thank you for looking in today - I hope I've been able to share something beautiful with you.

Hugs,
Donna

Good As Gold

This great little card kit can be yours free during Sale-a-Bration!  With each $50.00 purchase (before tax and shipping) you can choose a free item from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  Normally I don't pick up on the card kits, but I just loved the shiny gold dots in this paper and the beautiful gold liners.

The kit includes:

  • 8 card bases (3 1/2" x 5")
  • 8 envelopes
  • 8 envelope liners
  • 1 sheet of Gold Foil Tags
  • 1 sheet printed die-cut tags
  • 8 pieces of Gold Elastic Cord (24" each)
  • 8 pieces Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine (24" each)

At 4 a.m. on Sunday morning, I was really glad I had this kit.  I couldn't sleep and had heartburn from so many cough drops these last few weeks, that I just wanted to create something.  So I pulled out this sweet little kit and made 2 cards and an envelope.  Let me just say, trying to tie anything at 4 a.m. is not pretty.  Linda, I understand your dislike for tying bows... ha ha ha!

So, check out the Sale-a-Bration (SAB) brochure by clicking on it on the right column of my blog or by clicking here.

If you don't already have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and you'd like a SAB or Occasions Catalog, please contact me and I'll be happy to get one to you.

Thanks for looking in today and reading my blog.

Happy Monday!
