Park Lane Butterflies

I'm so happy the Butterfly Thinlits are available again!!  Now I can show mine off and tempt you into wanting them too!  Who wouldn't want these beauties?

Today I'm sharing something bright and sunny.  The Designer Series Paper "Park Lane" is perfect for this with the beautiful flowers pattern.

Recipe:

Daffodil Delight cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
Smoky Slate - 5 1/4" x 4"
Daffodil Delight - 5" x 3 7/8"
DSP - 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"

You might notice on the Thinking of You card that my lace ribbon is hidden.  That's what I get for not placing everything on the card BEFORE attaching!  Oops!  Oh well... trial and error!

Inside I added a piece of Whisper White and a strip of matching DSP from the front of the card.  I raised it up just a tad from the bottom of the Whisper White.

Don't forget TOMORROW (Tuesday) the Retiring List of current Stampin' Up! items will be available.  Be sure to watch for it so you can make you shopping list of anything that you might want to have before they're gone.

Brickyard Birthday

Time for a couple more Masculine Birthday Cards made from Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack.

It was fun doing the white emboss on this one because I didn't have to worry about a stray splotch of emboss sticking to the card.  Normally I'd be using my Embossing Buddy to get a nice clean emboss, but this time since I used Gorgeous Grunge splatter, I had nothing to hide!  Yay!

There are two versions here.  One with a smaller white border and one with a larger white border.  I can't decide which one I like best.  Do you have a favorite?  Post a comment and let me know.

Recipe:

Base - Cajun Craze - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"

Whisper White 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" (narrow mat) and 5 1/4" x 4" (widder mat)

Adventure Bound DSP - 5" x 3 7/8" (both cards)

Whisper White 4 5/8" x 3 3/8" (narrow mat) and  4 3/4" x 3 1/2" (wide mat)

Adventure Bound DSP (bricks) 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Inside Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4"

Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge and Big Day (from this year's Sale-a-bration)

Just a couple of cute Thank You cards for today's post.  I wanted to see how the Daffodil Delight would look using my Doodling Technique. 

I think I like it!  It's bright and cheery!  Of course, these are just small 3" x 3" sized cards, but they hold a great big thank you to the people who will be receiving them!

Simple Masculine Sympathy Card

Just a really quick card tonight using the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack (137780).

This was so simple, it should be illegal (thank goodness it's not!).

Begin with a base that matches the DSP you wish to use.  In this case I chose Wild Wasabi and cut it at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored it at 4 1/4".

Cut the DSP to 5 1/4" x 4" - for this one I trimmed from the bottom and the right hand side so I didn't cut off any of the great sun coming through the trees.

Wrap a piece of ribbon around the DSP and adhere to the back with tape or your favorite adhesive.  Attach a sentiment using any punch or die cut that fits your sentiment.  Attach with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Attach to the card base, then attach a piece of Whisper White (or other light color for inside) cut to 5 1/4" x 4".

Done!

For this card I used Thoughts and Prayers for the inside and outside stamps.  One of my very favorite Sympathy sets.

Oh Baby Onesie

As I was looking through my stamps and dies, I realized it had been a long time since I had this set out to play.  

Here's what I came up with:

Under the cut out, I attached a piece of DSP about a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" square and then popped up the Whisper White with Stampin' Dimensionals.

When you put your Dimensionals on the back, be sure to place some around the cutout so it will stand up nicely around the edges and not sag onto the card.

Don't forget to use the piece that you cut out - how about inside your card to add a little extra fun!
