Joy Fold Thank You

I loved making the first Joy Fold Card so much, that I wanted to make some more, so here it is with the beautiful Bohemian Designer Series Paper.  Don't you just love the bright colors that goes with this paper?

Begin with a base of 7" x 5 1/2" then score it at 2 3/4" to make a shortened front cover.  For this card I used Blackberry Bliss.

The second card layer is 6 1/2" x 4 1/2", scored at 3 1/4", I used Bermuda Bay for this layer.

Cut a piece of DSP 5 3/8" x 2 5/8".

Cut two pieces of cardstock on which you will be stamping - 4 3/8" x 3 1/8".  Here I used Very Vanilla.

This DSP (Designer Series Paper) also has matching Washi Tape, so use it to decorate the smaller cardstock panel inside and out.

Inside there's room to write a little note.  If you want to write more, you can also add some plain cardstock inside the smaller panel to have more writing space.

Watercolor Wishes for a Monday

Sunday was a nice quiet day for crafting and what better way to do some quick and easy cards than to use the Watercolor Wishes Kit.

These cards come together so fast and easy.  You can follow very simple instructions for what goes where or you can come up with different stamps and different layouts.  It really is all up to you.  I'm choosing, so far, to do them just as they were designed.  No thinking, just doing.

Aren't these simple and beautiful?  You can make them too!  This kit would even be a great project to do with children, it's just that easy!

The kit makes 20 unique cards in three different sizes and comes with everything you need inside (except for your favorite adhesive) including a stamp set and two colors of ink in small ink spot size. The kit even comes with a clear block.  I can't say enough great things about this kit.

I hope you will give it a try.  I promise you will love it!  Click here to get the Watercolor Wishes Kit.

Thank you for looking in today.

Happy Monday and Happy Stamping!

Trick or Treat

My apologies for not posting yesterday.  On Friday night we had a power outage for a couple of hours and when it did come back on, there were a couple of surges first.  When it was on to stay, we discovered our 4 1/2 year old t.v. was toasted.  Of course that took hours to figure out and kept me from getting a chance to make anything to show you.

Saturday was filled with shopping, spending and re-arranging furniture to handle the new t.v.  It's very nice, was way more affordable than the last one we purchased, but it wasn't until we got it home that it didn't have a center mounted stand, instead it has two feet that are 38 inches apart.  Our t.v. stand is only 36 inches wide.  Argh!!!!  Just one of those days.  There's more to the drama, but I won't bore you with it.

Let's get to the FUN...

It was so much fun making this card.  Winning the stamp set at Convention was awesome and I love the stamps and now that I have the Framelits to match, it's even BETTER!  It is great to be a Demonstrator and being able to purchase items a month before everyone else.  Would you like to get an early start on your holiday cards?  Join my team and you can make your Starter Kit with anything you want, even from the Holiday Mini!  Just think Christmas Cards done before September!

Recipe:

Base:  Pumpkin Pie - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4"
Layer:  Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper 5 1/4" x 4"
Strip:  Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper 5 1/4" x 1/2"

Stamps:  Howl-o-ween Treat
Boo to You Framelits Dies
Spider Web Doilies

You may be thinking that the Spider Web Doily isn't worth the trouble to adhere it down but guess what!?  The Holiday Mini has THE most wonderful new Fine-Tip Glue Pen that is perfect for these little intricate pieces.  You are going to LOVE    LOVE    LOVE it!  It even has a little pin in the lid that keeps the tip open and clog free.  Awesome!!!

Selfie Mirror and Witching Decor

The Selfie Mirror

I wanted to share a couple of cute pictures that I'd forgotten about from Convention.  We stayed at the Marriott and right near the elevator there was this great mirror all decorated up for people to use to take a fun "selfie".  I even got the hubster to take a picture and actually look a little happy doing it!  ha ha!

Except for people walking up behind, they aren't bad pictures.

Witching Decor Project

In the Holiday Mini Catalog, there is this great Witching Decor project that I can't wait to assemble.  Mine arrived today in the mail!  Wooo Hooo!

The kit is $22.00 and the matching stamp set, Witches' Night is $26.00 in photopolymer.

On September 19th I'm going to be doing a Project Day where we can put them together as a group.  It will be a fun day.  If you are in the Phoenix area and think you'd like to join us, let me know.  This will be a pre-paid event so I can order the kits as soon as the catalog goes live.  The cost for the event will be $30.00.  I have the stamp set, so there's no need to order that, unless you want it of course!

The finished project is approximately 13 inches high and 13 inches wide.

Isn't this a great project?  My favorite holiday is Christmas, but I really do like how this looks and think it will be great fun to put together and use.

Thank you for looking in today ~  Happy Friday!

The Legend Has Retired

A long time employee with the County is retiring as of tomorrow and I had a request for a specific sentiment on a card.  The request was to say "THE LEGEND HAS RETIRED".

But wait, we don't have anything that comes even remotely close to that in any of our sets!  Ack!

Out come the alphabet stamps.  Epic Alphabet and Layered Letters Alphabet.

I just love the Photopolymer stamps for alphas.  Just line them up on the paper the way you want them and lay the clear block down to pick them up.  Perfect stamping every time!

I used English Garden for the DSP (Designer Series Paper) and backed up the front sentiment with Hello Honey.

Be sure to check your  mailbox.  If you are one of the folks I mailed Holiday Catalogs to, you should start receiving them in your mailbox.

If you don't already have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and would like to have a 2015 Holiday Mini Catalog, please email me and I will be happy to get one for you.  Email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com.

Thank  you for looking in today.
