Love is in the Air

This looks like it is complicated, but really it wasn't so bad and the outcome is worth a few minutes to make this beautiful card.

I began by die cutting the heart from the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die in Crumb Cake and Garden Green.  I then cut out the little extra flowers from the die set in Pink Pirouette.  I snipped some of the leaves from the Garden Green and glued them over the Crumb Cake where they fit in and I attached the Pink Pirouette flowers over the flowers on the  Crumb Cake.

A little tip... make sure you have the flowers lined up before you add the glue.  They look like they fit more than one way, so lay the pink on cut out first and then pick it up and add glue to the Crumb Cake.

Recipe:
Crumb Cake 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Garden Green 5" x 3 7/8"
Rose Red 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"

The sentiment is from Bloomin' Love which comes as a bundle with Bloomin' Heart Thinlits.  You always save 15% when you purchase the bundle, so be sure to look for them in all of our catalogs!

Add some Rhinestones for bling on the flowers and you have a beautiful card ready to send.  I think this one will be an Anniversary card.

A Card for my Mother-in-law

Hmmm... this was supposed to post on Sunday, but here it is still waiting to go.

This beautiful card is for my Mother-in-law's birthday on Monday.  I know I'm safe to post it because computers are evil and she won't see it!  LOL

This was so fast and simple to put together and with the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, it comes out beautifully.

Base:  Watermelon Wonder - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Mossy Meadow - 5 1/4" x 4"
Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper - 5" x 3 3/4"

Tag - Whisper White - 4" x 2" - punched with Scallop Tag Topper
Stamp Set - Birthday Blossoms
Ink - Watermelon Wonder
Linen Thread

I think she'll really like it - she likes pretty flowers and she loves getting hand made pretties!

Thank you for looking in today.  May you have a Blessed Week!

Multi-purpose Roses

This turned out much prettier than I anticipated.  Yes, it involves some fussy cutting, but it will be worth the time, trust me!

I used the thinlits die to make the background mat.  Turn the die upside down and trace around the edge.  Take your paper snips and cut just a bit bigger than your trace line.  It doesn't have to be perfect, just similar with the proper bumps and dips.

Die cut out of Whisper White card stock and then on the back side, dab little bits of Tombo Multipurpose glue and then let it sit for a few minutes.  Don't let it dry completely, but just set up a bit.  This way it sticks beautifully and doesn't ooze out and leave a mess behind.

I used Soft Suede and Rose Red for these two cards.  Any of our beautiful colors will work well with this card and any of our stamps would be perfect, birthday, sympathy, just because, etc.

Happy Saturday!

Time To Celebrate!

More new stamps arrived at my house Thursday!  Yayyy!!!  That is definitely a reason to celebrate as well as this card to celebrate a special birthday!

I made two versions in playing with my new stamps and paper.  Which one do you like best?

This first one uses a base of Whisper White Cardstock and a layer of Pool Party and two types of ribbon / thread.

This one uses a base of Pool Party, a layer of Whisper White and another layer of Pool Party.  I have to say, this one is my favorite.  I like the extra white layer and adding a white layer inside for stamping.

The stamp set used is Party with Cake and there are so many cute sayings there.  I can't wait to use more of them, which you will see coming up very soon.

Thank you for looking in today.  So glad it is Friday!  Bring on the weekend!

An Unusual Thank You

We are not wine drinkers at our house, so really have a limited idea of what we like.  While we were at the store on New Year's Eve, thinking of picking up something to ring in the new year, the wine expert (or whatever his badge said) at Safeway asked if he could help us.  We told him the one wine we kind of like, and he recommended Stella Rosa.  Oh My Goodness, we loved it!

So, I thought it only right to make a special thank you card for him.  I didn't want it to be too splashy, one should not spill their wine, so I made it very simple.

I made the wine glass by die cutting vellum cardstock with the Circles Collection Framelits and cutting off just a bit from the top, to make the bottom of the glass.  I cut a small thin strip to make the stem.

Using my 2 1/2" Circle Punch, I punched a piece of Rich Razzleberry and the cut it down to a proper serving size!

I was very careful on placing the glue dots so that they wouldn't show through too much and it seems to have worked well.

The Bohemian Designer Series Paper is what I used for a pop of color and Bermuda Bay for a mat.

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Thursday!

Beautiful Designer Series Paper Sneak Peek.

One more day until the new Occasions Catalog goes live for everyone!  Do you have your wish list ready to go?  Mine just keeps getting longer!  Thankfully as a Demonstrator, I've been able to purchase a few things here and there.

Are you ready to see some more pretties I made this weekend?  Oh, and surprise, it's NOT made with the Balloon Builders this time.  ha ha!

Today's cards are made using the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and stamps from Rose Wonder.  I'm going to need more of this paper right away.  I just love these pretty spring flowers.

The back of this particular sheet of paper is the strips of Mint Macaron and Whisper White dots.

I used Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron for the bases - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".
The next layer is Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" and the DSP (Designer Series Paper) is 5 1/8" x 3 7/8".

Thank you for looking in today.  I enjoy hearing from you, so please, feel free to leave a comment.  I promise to always reply.

Happy Monday - Let the New Year (at the office) begin!
