Pressed Petals Thinking of You

Don't you just love all the beautiful Designer Series Papers we have in the new catalog?  There are so many, I have to admit it has been difficult to select.  Luckily I was in a paper share and received a 6" x 6" piece of each of the current designs.  It has really given me a chance to play with all of them without having to spend too much until I can pick my favorites.

This one is called Pressed Petals and I just love the deep blue shades in this one.  I paired it with Blueberry Bushel and am really happy with the results.  The sentiment comes from Seaside Notions.  The font on this one is one of my favorites!

Recipe:
Blueberry Bushel - 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper (burlap) - 4" x 5 1/4"
Blueberry Bushel - 1 7/8" x 4 7/8"
Pressed Petals - 1 3/4" x 4 3/4"
Blueberry Bushel - 1 1/2" x 3 1/8"

I popped up the long panel with one layer of Stampin' Dimensionals and then the smaller panel with a single layer where it is attached to the longer layer and a double layer of Dimensionals for where it attaches to the base card.

SIGH... This is Knot Good

This poor giraffe is having a really bad day, but I just love giraffe's so I wanted all the attention on him.  The best way to do that is with a nice and simple card.

Recipe:

See a Seahorse

A couple of quick cards with Seaside Notions and See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper, thus the title "See a Seahorse".  Silly, I know, but it's the weekend and time to relax and have some fun!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"

Seaside Notions

These cards were so fast and easy and I really love the simplicity of them. 

Recipe:
Soft Suede - 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Soft Sea Foam - 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
Crumb Cake - 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
Soft Sea Foam - 4" x 5 1/4" (inside panel)

Did you notice the Seahorse and the Sand Dollar are overlapped a bit?  I stamped the Seahorse first and then stamped it again onto a post it note so I could stamp the Sand Dollar over without the line going through the nose. (assuming that's a nose?)

 Inside - Soft Sea Foam (I wish it photographed better!) I thought the color is light enough that it would make a nice inside panel instead of Whisper White or Very Vanilla.

Remember to save cardstock by stamping the sentiment on the panel that will be the mat behind the Crumb Cake and then punching or die cutting.  The Crumb Cake panel will complete cover the punched area and you'll have saved some scraps!

Back on Your Feet - Flip Flap Card

I spotted a Flip Flap Card by Beth Rush (with different stamps and papers) and she had the best video explaining how to make it.  I could do a photo tutorial, but really Beth's video is a must see!

Here's what I came up with.  I think I need some adjustments, but it's pretty cute for a first try!
