Bit-O-Honey - Honey Bear

Is this just the cutest little gift or what??  I simply love this bear and his teeny tiny little bear friends.  this was another project we made last weekend at our team meeting and I just love it!

• Recipe:
• Crushed Curry - 2 1/2" x 2" -  dry emboss with the Hexagons Embossing Folder 
• Punch the 2" side with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
• Round the bottom corners using the Envelope Punch Board (or any corner rounder you have)
• Stamp the Bear, Bees and Beehive onto Watercolor Paper using the Archival Basic Black 
• Color the Bear with your Aqua Painter using a light shade of Soft Suede.  LET IT DRY
• When dry, add another layer of Soft Suede, aiming towards the right side of the bear (where there would be shadows - keep in mind from which way your "light source" is coming.
• Color the Bees with a Crushed Curry Marker
• Color the Beehive with Crushed Curry in layers like you did the Bear.  The third layer should be Soft Suede.
• Add the bees to the Bear
• Add the beehive to the Honeycomb
• Add the Bear on top.

Place three Bit-O-Honey candies into the Cello Bag and tie it up with the Crushed Curry solid Baker's Twine.  Remember to string it through the tag and tie it off.

It's Candy Corn Time

It's Candy Corn time of year again!  So, I thought a Mini-Treat bag made from Whisper White cardstock and colored with Sponge Daubers to look like candy corn would be a great start for these cute treat bags!

After sponging, I added a 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Basic Black, attached a Spider Web Doily and a basic black circle cut from the Circle Thinlits.

The witches hat from Howl-o-ween Treat is stamped with Rich Razzleberry and cut out using the framelits dies that come as a bundle with the stamps.  Always great to bundle!  Dress up the stars on the hat with Metallics Sequin Assortment.

If you prefer less color - as in the Rich Razzleberry - then how about just using the thinlits and Black Glimmer Paper to cut out the witches hat or BOO!

Half Sheet Valentine Treat Box

This is an adorable idea for a half-sheet treat box designed by Julie Davison.  It makes the cutest little box to put a few Valentine candies inside for that someone special. 

The Confetti Hearts Border Punch fits perfectly on the front panel and adds just the right touch.

I recreated Julie's template below: 

 



 

• Begin with a piece of cardstock measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
• Score at 1 1/2", 4", 5 1/2" and 8"
• Turn 90 degrees and score at 1 1/2"
• PUNCH your hearts border before cutting or folding **
• Cut on the solid lines up to the 1 1/2" score line - remove the corner with the X
• Fold on the score lines
• Use Sticky Strip or Fast Fuse to adhere the box together

 



 

I used white two sided tape to show you where to put your Sticky Strip or Fast Fuse.

 



 

The last piece that you'll attach will be one of the big flaps.  I forgot to put adhesive on there for you to see, but you get the idea.

 



 

Fill a Cellophane Bag with treats and tie off with a pretty ribbon.  You can find our Cellophane Bags on page 200 of the Annual Catalog.

I decorated the front of the bag with a strip of Stack with Love Designer Series Paper Stack from the Occasions Catalog and a piece of Whisper White.  The DSP is 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" and because it blended in too well with the Real Red cardstock, I added a piece of Whisper White 2" x 2 1/2".

The stamp is from You Plus Me, also from the Occasions Catalog, and punched with new Sweetheart Punch from the Annual Catalog.
