Rose Wonder with Blended Blossom

If you've ever checked on Brian King and his works of art, he doe a LOT of layers and they always look wonderful.  When I spotted this idea earlier this week, I wanted to give it a go, but with my own color combination.

I had to make my own choices on measurement since they weren't shared, so after my first attempt that didn't work (see the card on your right below), I tried again and came up with the card on your left below and the card above.

The measurements for the best results are:

Base - Mint Macaron - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black - 5 1/4" x 4"
Calypso Coral - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Basic Black - 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"
Mint Macaron - 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Basic Black - 4 1/8" x 2 3/8"
Whisper White Thick - 4" x 3 1/2" (to start with)

Stamp Blended Bloom (soon to retire) towards the upper and left on the Whisper White, then lay the
stamped image onto your cutter and measure in 2 1/4" cut up to the flower, lift your blade and then start cutting from the other side towards the flower.

I just cut close and then snipped the rest of the way to the flower with my paper snips so I didn't go too far.  Then fussy cut around your flower to the right of the cut and up to the top.

See how this one above was way too far off... it didn't work at all!  Learn from my trial and errors.  :)

Stamp with your favorite sentiment.  I used Rose Wonder for both of these.

Attach the pieces together as shown above.  I added Stampin' Dimensionals under the cut side of the flower and under the sentiment section that hangs over.

Thank you for looking in today - I hope you like this color combo.   ~  Donna

Thank You Mystery Shopper!

Before I share today's card, I want to share a great BIG THANK YOU to a Mystery Shopper who went shopping on my website on Monday.  I had a wonderful email telling me I had an order placed by a customer who chose to use the "no contact" button.  Since I don't know who you are, I can't give you a personal thank you, but I want you to know how grateful I am for your purchase!

If you change your mind about being a "no contact" you can contact Stampin' Up! Customer support at 1-800-STAMP UP (1-800-782-6787) and let them know.  Either way, you are awesome and you made my day!  Thank you!

Today's card is another fun card for me to color.  Have I mentioned how much I love coloring with my Blendabilities?  I think my favorite colors have to be the Rich Razzleberry and the Cherry Cobbler seen here.  Inside the center I used Calypso Coral.  It really looks really good with the Cherry Cobbler, don't you think?

The base of the card is also Cherry Cobbler and I matted the Whisper White with Calypso Coral to bring out the color from the center.

The sentiment stamp is from Endless Birthday Wishes (inside and outside sentiments).  I love the handwritten font of this stamp set!

Thank you for looking in today.  I hope you find inspiration on my blog.  If you do, leave a comment, I love to hear from you!

Happy Tuesday and Happy Stamping!

Blended Bloom - Resized

I seriously believe I'm going to wear out all of my Blendabilities as much as I love using them!!  I could sit and color all day long (remember doing that as a kid?) and be perfectly happy!  I can hardly wait for them to be available to you later in June or early July.

If you are having trouble figuring out what flower this is, don't worry, it isn't one you've seen until now.  It actually is Blended Bloom, one of the pre-order stamps I was able to purchase early as a Demonstrator.  However, when I tried putting the two of them on this card, I found they were just too big!  So I pulled out the paper snips and cut them down to a smaller flower.  Perfect!

The DSP (Designer Series Paper) used is from Lullaby and is just so pretty!  The dotted paper is the back side of the DSP used in this card HERE.  Both sides are beautiful I think.  The striped paper is also from the same pack.

Do you see the beautiful Coastal Cabana Vintage Faceted button?  I colored it with the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities alcohol marker.  I love how it adds color to the button.  They also work on our Pearls and Rhinestones.  Perfect way to coordinate all of our items even further!

Thank you for looking in today.  Don't forget, this weekend is the last one for the old Annual Catalog.  Beginning June 2nd at Noon (Mountain Time) the new catalog goes live and you may begin purchasing from it!  Yayyyy!
