Hey Valentine... Did You Know?

Did you know... just because our Stampin' Up! Blendabilities are claimed to be "blendable" (which they totally are) they don't have to be blended to be beautiful!

If you've ever tried coloring with our Stampin' Write Markers, they just don't color that well.  They are great for writing and they are great for coloring along a line - something small - but not for coloring fishes, pirates or beautiful flowers.

However, I know some people are afraid of trying the blending process, and that is totally fine.  Don't worry about that.  When you purchase Blendabilities, they come in a set of three of your color choice.  A dark, a medium and a light.  So, pick one of the pens and color with it.  Color over and over and fill the image in until it's filled in beautifully.

Pick another color in that family and use it on a different area.  You'll see a subtle difference, but it will be enough that you can enjoy it being a different shade.  Look at my Pirate's coat.  Both from the same shade of blue - Night of Navy- light and medium.  The pants are from the dark shade.

Did you also know... you can try Blendabilities for FREE?  That's right, FREE during the Sale-a-bration promotion.  On page 20 in the Sale-a-bration catalog, you'll see 12 different color assortments to choose from.

With each $50.00 purchase (before shipping and tax) during Sale-a-bration, you can select a free item!  Can't beat that.  What better way to try something you aren't sure about?

Thank you for looking in today and thank you to all who looked in yesterday at my Creative Blog Hop posting.  If you missed it, check it out here.  Be sure to check out the others who will be posting next Monday in this blog hop as well as Sue Parker who nominated me from last week!

Happy Tuesday!

Christmas Cheer

Christmas Cheer... Isn't this such a sweet and simple stamp.  I love the crispness of the image this stamp produces and the Filigree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder goes perfectly with it, don't you think?

I added some extra bling by coloring our Rhinestone Basic Jewels with our Blendabilities Markers.  I only wish they would photograph better.  They look beautiful in real life!

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope this inspires you to make something beautiful.

Blendies and Ribbon

If you've ever tried to color any of our ribbons with our Stampin' Up! Markers you probably had the same results I did... and they weren't all that great.

BUT... with our new Blendabilities, the results are GREAT!

Here I colored our 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon with two different Blendies from the Calypso Coral Markers.  The one on the left was done using the "light" Calypso Coral and the one on the right using the "medium" shade of Calypso Coral.

When the light one was first colored and when you use it on paper, you'll think, Oh My, that's like neon orange, but it dries beautifully as you can see below

As a matter of fact, when I set them to the side to dry - which actually only took a minute or two - I almost couldn't tell them apart.  On white background though, you can see the one is lighter.

Calypso Coral will be available to you beginning August 1st.  As a Demonstrator, you could get them NOW!  (hint, hint!)

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you like this nice trick to making beautiful ribbons with our new Blendabilities.

Have a great week, it's Monday, again!

Do You Love to Color

If you love the look of beautiful blended and shaded coloring but think you could never do it yourself, it's time to think about Stampin' Up!'s new Blendabilities.  I never thought I could make some of the beautiful flowers I see online and I knew I didn't want to pay the price of the other alcohol type markers that are available out there, but then I discovered Blendabilities.  Our pens come in a pack of three with a Dark, Medium and Light shade in each color.  You can choose to color from dark to light, which is my preference or you can color from light to dark.

Check out the video below from Carrie Cudney from Stampin' Up! home office for some great tips.  The best way really is just to practice.  Coloring is so relaxing for me, so I've been doing a lot of coloring lately (home maintenance problems have been bringing the world crashing a bit around me) and it has really helped me to manage!  Color Therapy!  Yay!

Oh My Goodness, so easy to use and such beautiful results.  Click on the picture to open in a new window with a better view.

Here are five of the color sets available to you now.  I didn't think a Coastal Cabana flower would be right.  If you look very closely, you may or may not notice that the Pumpkin Pie flower only has two shades.  My cats have stolen my medium Pumpkin Pie... and I'm still searching!  Grrr.  ha ha!

The leaves are colored with different combinations of Old Olive.

Each Blendabilities set comes with 3 markers and is $11.95 per set.
  • Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities (item #130995)
  • Coastal Cabana Blendabilities (item #131000)
  • Daffodil Delight Blendabilities (item #130998)
  • Old Olive Blendabilities (item #130999)
  • Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities (item #130997)
  • Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities (item #131003)
Also available:
  • Skin Tone Assortment (item #129370) (6 markers / $22.95)
  • Memento Ink Pad (item #132708) $5.95
  • Memento Ink Refill (item #133456) $4.95
  • Color Lifter (item #129369) $4.95

As an added bonus from me directly, when you purchase all 10 items listed above, I will personally send you a package of Rhinestones and a package of Pearls.  The reason?  Because I want you to see how much fun it is to color the Rhinestones and Pearls to match any color you're working with.  It is so pretty to color them to match and you can even color the beautiful Vintage Faceted buttons to add extra color.  You will be glad to have an extra pack of each to play with!

Just email me after your purchase to let me know you want the free goodies and I'll send them out right away.

Be sure to check out this video shared by Carrie Cudney from Stampin' Up!

As always, thank you for looking in on my blog.  If you haven't signed up to receive my updates in your mailbox each time I post, why not do that now.  It just takes a moment.
